Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ameerah Saine. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ameerah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
The rise of tech is one of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the Marketing Industry. The most common question I get from my clients is: Which new technology will be the biggest thing to hit marketing?
Here’s the surprising answer that I give them: Don’t get excited about specific technologies. Instead, focus on how these technologies are changing the fundamental nature of marketing.
The tools, processes, and technologies available have changed the way marketers interact with customers, both positively & negatively.
On the positive side, we’ve seen the rise of social media platforms, the ability to create video content more easily than ever before, and businesses embracing digital transformations to improve their brand management.
On the negative side, we’ve been desensitized to traditional advertising methods, resulting in people blocking ads when browsing online or skipping TV & Radio Commercials.
I believe that technology will continue to play a key role in marketing for startups and small to medium businesses in 2022 as it offers us

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In 2016, I embarked on a mission to bridge the gap between mainstream media and Women-Owned Businesses by connecting driven, career – focused women and fostering the collaborative partnerships necessary to empower progress.
I began developing a pop-up brunch event and podcast, which steadily cultivated a loyal, diverse following and name in the female Empowerment space.
After partnering with several top brands, I decided it was time to expand. Leveraging my 15 years of professional marketing and sales experience, I eventually launched my own media company – one that would reflect the values of my Brunch and Slay community.
Built on the pillars of diversity, innovation, and inclusion, B A S Media strives to create the meaningful, representative experiences that your customers are seeking in today’s cultural paradigm.
As a Veteran, African – American woman owned agency, we understand the importance of lending our unique voice and experience to supply the businesses of tomorrow with tools to excel and tap into valuable, new markets.
How did you build your audience on social media?
All my life I have always been fairly prolific in terms of my output, whether it be the Brunch and Slay podcast, or my Instagram. It goes without saying, I have been lucky to have had an audience that’s supported me for a long time.
For starters, I do think there’s some benefit to putting yourself out there in various mediums and trying to cultivate a following as early as possible.
Social Media is wonderful because it’s free and it allows you to build an audience around your work and other creative endeavors. But don’t worry too much about building an audience. Instead, worry about building something worth having an audience for.

Any advice for managing a team?
I’ve been managing a Digital Marketing team for a little over 5 years now. Just like any other company, we have faced some challenges working remotely, but we’re largely a happy team and I’m proud of our accomplishments.
My most useful tips for effective team management is being able to measure and communicate your progress in a way that is meaningful to others, not just yourself. If you can do that, then you’ll be able to effectively manage your team, maintain high morale and most importantly, deliver results to your clients.
One way to do this is by setting goals for each person on your team and helping them achieve those goals through regular check-ins by managers & supervisors. You can also use tools like WhatsApp, Monday & Slack for Team Communication & Project Management to coordinate a team to execute their task and common goals .
And lastly, prioritize having weekly meetings where everyone shares their ideas on how things are going within their areas of responsibility and provide feedback regarding team achievements & future organizational goals.
