We recently connected with Amberrose Lamoureux and have shared our conversation below.
Amberrose, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name of my shop is Lilly Beth Bath and Beauty and I currently make soaps and candles. The inspiration behind my business name are my grandmother, Lillian, and my mother, ShariBeth, both of whom our family lost too soon. During quarantine I learned how to make soaps and from there that’s how I got into wanting to start a business and O couldn’t figure out a name until one day their names kept popping in my head.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well, like I’ve said before, I got into my craft during quarantine both out of boredom and out of necessity when soap was hard to come by. It seemed like a very interesting craft to get into so that’s what I picked up. Currently, I offer homemade bar soaps, candles, eventually I want to make homemade bath bombs, lotions, and makeup. Our business does try to keep in mind what they’re looking for and what they need. Lilly Beth is a brand new company and it’s also a learning process, so as we keep going I hope to have a lot more to offer eventually.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My whole life is a pivot lol. Growing up I wanted to be a singer, but now I’m working to become a nurse and I run my business on the side as well. We’ve had ideas that don’t work so they had to be scrapped for something else, but you get past it eventually.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I guess you can consider her a business partner, me and her try to work together to sell our items that we offer when we do market fairs and we feed off each other in a way and give each other ideas and eventually we want to do something that we work on together with everything. Me and her met when we used to work together at a grocery store and we both had similar interests in common and from there that’s what happened. Right now, Diamonique runs a business called a cottage fun of aprons where she also offers cute items
