Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amber Woodruff. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Amber thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
My brand (self-titled) // Struggling Butterfly was created from self-experiences and personal journeys. My Book is a memoir and full of conversations, prayers, and stories that led to me turning thirty. I had a lot of time in 2020 to do self-reflection and become comfortable with how life was going in the moment. I wasn’t where I thought i would be or even close. I had just ended an engagement and was starting a serious self-love journey. I wanted to create and document my activities, roadblocks and share my story. writing as always helped me with anxiety and I’m better at expressing myself in written form. I also knew other women could relate to my story (all of it / or parts) so I sat down and wrote a book: from my book came other products and the brand grew. Now I have candles, shirts and a workbook.
Main purpose of my brand is to encourage self-love, abstinence, and enjoying the single life.

Amber, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a lady of many talents and hobbies that isn’t the best with verbal expression; but you give me a pen and paper…… I can bring a big smile, be informative, and make you cry. I never really considered myself to be a “creative” until recently. I just had a story to share and finally got the courage to share with the world. I speak with teens in hope to prevent the foolish mistakes I made, and I love that my story is relatable to woman at all stages of life.
I’m proud to share what celibacy and abstinence is especially in 2022. it’s not often discussed and being single and waiting isn’t common. My brand has created conversation and a safe space for those needing support or interested in a lifestyle change.
being that I’m a self-published author I now Help others that are interested.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Encouraging self-love and knowing yourself fully before entering a relationship. more specifically discovering if a relationship is something you want and what that looks like. I want women to find peace in the single stage, I previously believed that I needed a relationship, and a family by a certain age. because society made me feel that way. my life didn’t hit all the check marks by thirty. But life is GREAT and I the list you create for yourself at fifth teen won’t always be the list at your mid-life point. my brand is about being okay and at peace no matter the stage of life and that it’s okay to be selfish and in a soft era .
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social Media is tricky, first find your audience. create a posting schedule and find a way to make your post unique. I don’t have a huge following but the ones i have support me like no other and I know they are in my corner. Finding your niche is important. Remember that your brand / product isn’t for everyone.
