Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amber Wallace. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amber, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes — I absolutely believe in taking time off. And not just for rest, but for realignment. As a Christian entrepreneur, I remind myself that hustle isn’t my source — God is. That means my peace, provision, and progress aren’t solely dependent on how many hours I’m working. When I take a step back, I often return with more clarity, better ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose.
That said, I totally understand the tension. Especially in the early stages, it can feel like everything will fall apart if you’re not constantly available. What’s helped me is building systems that support both sales and sanity — like evergreen marketing funnels, automation, and batching content ahead of time. Even something as simple as setting up email autoresponders with helpful links can create breathing room.
My advice to any entrepreneur feeling stuck in the “I can’t step away” cycle: take a small break first. Even a weekend offline or a half-day in nature can reset your nervous system. Then, gradually build the business to support the life you’re called to live — not the other way around. Rest is not a reward you earn at the finish line. It’s a rhythm that keeps you in alignment, and I believe your best ideas and breakthroughs often come when you’re not staring at a screen.

Amber, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m the founder of Harvest Marketing Agency, where we help faith-driven founders build profitable marketing systems rooted in strategy, storytelling, and soul. I got into this industry after working in corporate marketing and realizing two things: first, many Christian entrepreneurs felt unseen or unsupported in the online space. And second, most were working way too hard for way too little return — not because they lacked talent or passion, but because they didn’t have the systems or strategy to turn their visibility into revenue.
What started as freelancing turned into a mission: to help purpose-driven brands scale without burnout by focusing on conversion-first marketing. Today, we specialize in Facebook & Instagram ads, funnel optimization, and CRO (conversion rate optimization) for businesses ready to turn attention into actual sales. Whether you’re launching a new product or trying to make your existing traffic convert better, we help clients unlock the hidden revenue already in front of them.
What sets us apart is our approach — it’s data-driven, but deeply human. We don’t just chase clicks or ROAS. We align the heart of your brand with the psychology of your buyer, so your marketing feels authentic and performs like a high-converting machine. We’re known for our $2 testing strategy, which helps businesses test copy, creative, and audiences quickly without blowing their budget. We’re also proud to offer asynchronous coaching options, because we believe success shouldn’t come at the cost of your peace or your schedule.
At the end of the day, this is more than marketing to me. I want clients and followers to know that you can build a business that honors God, pays you well, and still lets you be present for your family and your life. That’s what we stand for. And that’s what we build alongside our clients every day.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that hard equals holy. For years, I subconsciously equated struggle with worth — thinking if something wasn’t difficult, it must not be valuable. I believed I had to grind for every breakthrough, hustle nonstop, and constantly prove my value — to clients, to peers, and honestly, to myself.
The backstory? Like many entrepreneurs, I started my business with a deep desire to create freedom — but I brought my old corporate mindset with me. I was working 12-hour days, overdelivering, undercharging, and thinking that exhaustion was a badge of honor. But even as the business grew, I wasn’t truly thriving. I was constantly anxious, always “on,” and secretly wondering when I’d finally feel successful.
It wasn’t until I started surrendering my business to God — not just in theory, but in my actual calendar, pricing, and nervous system — that I realized: ease doesn’t mean laziness, and rest doesn’t mean irresponsibility. Scripture says His yoke is easy and His burden is light. That verse cracked something open for me. I started honoring simplicity, trusting systems, and letting peace lead.
Now, I build from a place of alignment, not anxiety. And ironically? That’s when the biggest breakthroughs came — in income, impact, and internal joy.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Yes — but it’s not just business books that shaped me. It’s been a blend of faith, mindset, and strategic marketing that truly shifted how I lead.
The Bible has been the most powerful guide. It anchors everything — from how I make decisions to how I view rest and stewardship. Scriptures like “By wisdom a house is built” and “Write the vision and make it plain” have become the blueprint for how I build, plan, and lead. For me, business isn’t just about profit — it’s about purpose and partnership with God.
Another major influence has been the writings of Florence Scovel Shinn. Her teachings helped me renew my mind around faith, divine alignment, and the power of the spoken word. She showed me that business can flow when you’re spiritually aligned — not forced. One of my favorite truths from her is that “faith knows it has already received and acts accordingly.” That principle changed how I approach launches, sales, and even setbacks — with peace instead of panic.
From a marketing and tactical standpoint, I’ve also learned a lot from Alex Hormozi around offer clarity, and Donald Miller’s Building a StoryBrand helped me simplify complex messaging. I’ve studied copywriters like Ian Stanley for conversion insights, but the biggest breakthroughs haven’t come from tactics — they’ve come from identity work. You can’t out-strategize a mindset rooted in fear or unworthiness.
That’s why today, I lead with a simple philosophy:
Lead from identity. Build from alignment. Optimize with data. Trust God with the outcome.
