Amber, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
I make cakes affordable to everyone’s budget. Rather than a higher financial bracket of people that can afford custom fondant cakes typically im trying to open the doors for more underprivileged to afford special things as well. As an example im on disability and myself I could never afford a fondant cake for any of my children. So I try to bring your imagination to life in cake bringing smiles to all regardless of budget

Im amber i own unsavory Heathens customs. a custom home bakery I have been baking as long as I can remember just for fun! As my kids got older and I did too i honestly got bored in a way and wanted to use my talents to bring smiles to more than just my family and close friends I have a disability which has now progressed to being in a wheelchair full time I needed some sort of meaning in this new aspect of life so unsavory Heathens was born.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Alot of word of mouth for me personally and working with a non profit as well as tons of tik tok style videos all over social media
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Personal messages getting to know them asking how they enjoyed everything making sure they’re happy with my work and asking about any upcoming events you could help them with as well as family members they could send your way be personable many of my customers are repeat customers and im still a baby business
