Amber , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
In 2018, I was a brand ambassador for a clothing brand based in Colorado. In 2020, My job was shutdown due to COVID . It gave me more time to think about what I really wanted to do. I knew I wanted to pursue modeling professionally after joining The Model University with Model Coach Lola Chél. I learned so much about the industry and the different types of modeling.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started out having an interest in photography. My mom bought me a Canon Rebel T6. I would take pictures of nature. I love landscape and macro photography. I would also be the photographer for my friend’s parties and their children’s parties. I realized I preferred being in front of the camera. I’ve heard before, “You should model.” After being in The Model University I knew I wanted to be a beauty, print and commercial model. I connected with so many other creatives and models who inspire me today. I workout daily and try my best to eat healthy and take care of my skin. I pray everyday, say affirmations, journal and I am very thankful for the people that keep me motivated. You can book me for creative/ brand photoshoots, promo, events and more. I am a very positive person and enjoy uplifting others. I’m so proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and my journey of healing and growth. I’ve been published in magazines, modeled for Glamourina Activewear on DCNewsNow DCW50, I’ve done brand ambassador work, a campaign, walked in a hair show, a charity fashion event and LA Fashion Week. I started Wonderful Women Wednesday which is a Live Interview Series aired on Wednesdays on my Instagram where I highlight different women who are models, creatives, entrepreneurs, designers and talent. I am blessed and so grateful for every opportunity.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I want to inspire others to just be your authentic self. Embrace everything about you, stay consistent and follow your dreams! I recently started a YouTube channel where I share positivity, affirmations and food recipes.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
You Owe You: Ignite Your Power, Your Purpose and Your Why by Eric Thomas PhD. I started my Wonderful Women Wednesday Series after reading You Owe You. The Online Modeling School. The Model University with Dean Lola Chél. ItsModelVational with Mentor Naoumie Ekiko.
