We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amber Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amber below.
Amber, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
I’d have to say my hero is my Dad. I lost him back in March and it’s been hard without him here, as my Dad and as a grandfather to my son. He was my biggest supporter. He was always so interested in what crystals I was getting in the mail and what they meant. He taught me a lot, but the lesson that I hold closest to me is how calm he taught me to be when everything is going wrong – how to be strong. We were exactly alike in all honesty, and I know he’s proud of the person I’m becoming.
Amber, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Amber and I’m a 27 year old amateur wire wrap artist based out of South Atlanta. I’m your friendly neighborhood crystal connoisseur. Crystals and wire wrapping sparked my interest when I started going to music festivals and everyone had them. It’s been an eventful last 4 years learning new designs and different kinds of stones that are out there and where they come from. It’s honestly gotten me out of some pretty dark places, having a craft I truly enjoy doing. I follow a lot of different wire artists between FB and YouTube and it’s always exciting learning a new design and incorporating my own little tweaks to it to make it my own. I love when people let me intuitively choose stones for them based on what they’re needing out of life in that moment. I vend a lot of shows between Atlanta and the Carolinas and it’s been a joy seeing peoples faces light up at the things I provide. I recently became and official LLC within the state of GA and I’m slowly but surely gaining a following on Etsy. You can find me under the name GemStoned Co.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Networking! Constantly, on any and all platforms. Ask for shares. Offer giveaways. Anything to get your name out there!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I always love keeping in touch with customers if I can! Let’s not call them customers, more like new friends! Some people will keep me updated on how much they love what I’ve given them, or how it’s helped in someway. I’m always offering giveaways for repeat buyers also.
