We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amber Goulding. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amber below.
Hi Amber, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
While I was in school to get my license, my family and friends stepped up in so many ways to support me. They would help my husband with the kids and come see me for facials. Even calling me just to check in was incredibly encouraging. Now that my business is up and running they have continued to support me. If they are aren’t able to come see me for services, they have gone above and beyond recommending me to their friends and co-workers.
My friend who is a teacher and has a large social media following created a raffle that was just to bless our teachers. She chose three winners. They received beautiful goodie bags and a custom facial. Being able to love on our local teachers this way was so beautiful. At the same time so beneficial for my business. I am so thankful for friends and family who have encouraged me in this way regarding my business.

Amber, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Amber Goulding. I am a wife and mama to four kids! Before my husband and I started our family we were missionaries with Youth With A Mission. We moved from Montana to Tampa in 2016. After 12 years of staying home and homeschooling my kids , I decided I wanted to become a esthetician. Going back to school was crazy and so fun. It was a completely new season for our family. My husband was a constant source of encouragement and support.
After I graduated with my esthetician license I started my own business called Amber Nicole Aesthetics. I rent a beautiful space located at In Bloom Med Spa, Lithia.
I offer Diamond Glow facials and body treatments. Custom facials and back treatments, and dermaplaning facials. Soon I will be certified as an Acne Expert through a company called Face Reality. I absolutely cannot wait to be able to offer this service to my clients in person and virtual!
Being able to love on my clients in this way has been an amazing experience. Some need to lay in the peace and quiet, and some love to chat. I hope they always feel comfortable and at ease. During a treatment I often fnd myself so thankful that I get to have this job.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
It took some time for me to step out of my comfort zone. I love being at home with kids. I’ll forever be thankful for the years I had with them at home. I think as time went on and my babies were suddenly not little anymore it hit me that, “WOW, one day they will be gone with lives of their own!” And duh, everyone knows this but it was still a big thing I needed to process. I’m proud of myself for conquering my fears of going back to school. Conquering thoughts of thinking there was no way I could have my own business. I love that we can experience many different ways of life and adventures. Choosing to not let fear rule my life has led to some awesome experiences.
How did you build your audience on social media?
This is an area I need help in.
