We recently connected with Amber Bell and have shared our conversation below.
Amber, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
The risk I took starting my business was investing my last $200 to register my business. I never looked back I just leveled up. I prayed on it first then I was like you know what? I can’t lose the next week I doubled up. Lesson I learned as a business owner is to take a risk and take that chance. It is ok to to make an error. You can dust yourself off and try again. I feel like if I didn’t take that chance I wouldn’t be here today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Amber Bell a black owned medical transportation company that started in Mississippi and Memphis now Texas. I am a Milwaukee native. I got into the industry by word of mouth from an artist I worked for Universal Records then started writing books. I am now an award winner , author of 7 books, I write all types of books inspirational, children’s books for disabilities, and human trafficking, as well as ghost write. I like to give business classes to first time business owners on financial freedom also for artist in the industry on how to brand themselves. What sets me different from others is that I really care about the future and how to teach generational wealth. I like to encourage people to start a business and to help transition into financial freedom. I offer affirmation books, self help products, speaking to students and spread awareness to the community. I am proud of growth, and being able to learn because there isn’t a limit to what we can do when we are open minded.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what helped me build my reputation in my market is that I am honest I just tell the truth and show proof in the way I show up every time. I don’t cut corners if I don’t know how to do something I learn, or research. I am a believer the journey is a little longer doing honest but, the greatest reward is knowing you can wake up leading people or their careers in the right direction.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The strategy for growing clientele is to remember you are your own billboard dress for success, always keep products up to date make them appealing. Social Media is a great place to connect and reach out to others and gain clients.
