We were lucky to catch up with Amber Arthur recently and have shared our conversation below.
Amber, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
I’ve noticed several exciting trends shaping the beauty industry, but one that stands out to me is the growing demand for natural, effortless looks that can be sustainable with beauty products that cater to all skin tones and types. The young girls and women are looking for makeup that they can apply everyday, but buildable; it’s important that it’s also inclusive, reflecting the diversity of beauty.
As a business owner, we’ve responded by reformulating our products with ethically-sourced and eco-friendly ingredients, ensuring they are suitable for everyone, regardless of skin tone or type. Our commitment to inclusivity offer shade ranges and product selection, ensuring that everyone feels represented and empowered in their beauty choices.
While this trend presents challenges such as increased manufacturing costs and the need for consumer education, it also opens up exciting opportunities. The Ladykyeabeauty brand differentiate ourselves in the market and it’s important to us to deepen our customer loyalty.
Looking ahead, I believe that the demand for clean and inclusive beauty products will continue to grow, offering businesses like ours the opportunity to make a positive impact in the beauty industry.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Absolutely, here’s a more friendly tone:
Hey there, I’m Amber – makeup enthusiast and MBA grad on a mission to bring a little extra sparkle to your day! Growing up, I was always fascinated by my big sister’s and my mom’s makeup routines. Fast forward to my MBA college days, and I found myself craving something more creative and fulfilling.
That’s when I rediscovered my love for makeup. One evening, I convinced my younger sister to join me for a fun Facebook live session where I practiced my makeup skills. The response was heartwarming, and I knew I was onto something special.
A year later, after lots of learning and practice, I decided to take the plunge into entrepreneurship. Ladykyeabeauty was born – a brand dedicated to making makeup accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
But you know what truly warms my heart? Seeing the joy on my clients’ faces as they see their beauty transformations. Whether it’s their first time in my chair or they’re regulars seeking a pick-me-up, it’s a privilege to be a part of their journey.
And that same warmth and care? It’s poured into every product I create. From everyday essentials to special occasion treats, Ladykyeabeauty is here to make you feel confident and beautiful, inside and out.
So, if you’re looking for a friendly face and a touch of makeup magic, you’re in the right place. Let’s brighten your day together, one lipstick shade at a time!

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
As a small business, I have the unique opportunity to build genuine connections with my clients and customers. Through open communication, I provide personalized tips and recommendations tailored to their beauty needs, ensuring they find products that truly suit them. This fosters a personal relationship built on trust, and coupled with the quality of our products, it keeps them coming back for more, time and time again.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations, and I distinctly recall the rise of social media platforms during my studies. Many assignments involved experimenting with various social media strategies, which naturally made me feel at ease with posting content online. Through this experience, I’ve gained valuable insights into the dynamics of social media engagement, understanding that my audience consists of those who personally connect with my content.
When it comes to building a social media presence, consistency is often emphasized. While I believe in its importance, I also advocate for giving yourself grace. I encourage others to create content that genuinely interests them, as this authenticity attracts like-minded people who form their core audience. Keeping the content creation process enjoyable is key or it will feel like a chore or work.
Personally, I prioritize authenticity over chasing likes and followers. I trust in the organic growth of my audience, believing that connections are formed naturally when I stay true to me. Ultimately, I place my faith in God, trusting that He guides me to the right connections and opportunities.
