Today, we’d like to introduce you to Amaria Daniels. Amaria was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Taylor Perry.
Amaria, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
Before I Introduce Myself, I have to give all glory and honor to Jesus. My story started with my family. Growing up with such a large family (10) I was introduced to sisterhood and community at such a young age. I love family but for me, growing up I always felt a sense of isolation, never really vocalized how I felt, and found myself in cycles that left me broken. Me, now at 22, having created a community of women I love to reference as ” The Girls” came from all of my life experiences. I started social media back when I was in middle school, as most girls loved Youtubers. I’ve always had a love for creating, rather its, self care, cooking, diys, etc, I was always a creative girl who loved sharing my life. The woman I am today and the impact that I have on women today came from Jesus, when I was 18 I gave my life to Christ, and He has rewritten my story- the story we are watching unfold today. Through trials and tribulations, Jesus has provided healing, restorations, and a new identity, that I want to share with the women who come across me, rather its my sisters/family, or the women I meet online. Since starting my social media accounts back up in October 2023 I have reached millions of women who tell me daily how they want to get closer to Jesus because they’ve seen how He is shaping and molding me into the woman I am. My story is still being written but to sum it up I am a woman who found Jesus and He has transformed my life that I want to continue to spread with the women who may come across me.
Please tell us more about your brand, Amaria Daniels
Being a content creator, I am the brand. I create content ranging from healing habits, ministry, cooking, etc. I’d like to call myself the one stop shop, I love romanticizing the smaller things in my life showing that there can be beauty in the mundane. What sets me apart is my individuality, I include God in everything, the content I post I strive to have it impact in positive ways only, I know social media can leave you feeling left behind and my biggest goal is to have women watch me and feel motivated and inspired to keep fighting the good fight in life. What I am most proud of with my brand is the integrity. I understand social media can put false perspectives out but i’ve created a brand around honesty, rather its me messing up a recipe, or telling my testimony, I’ve created a space where women call me the “big sister’ or the ‘warm hug’ and that in itself is what I’m most proud of.
Taylor Perry and TayloredHair have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Taylor Perry and TayloredHair and your experience with them.
I love Taylor! Taylor is a hairstylist located in the South Chicago Suburbs. I met Taylor through social media, She emailed me for a collaboration, I checked out her work and we ended up working together. How many characters can I take up ? What I admire about her is the safeness/comfort she first provided for her customers. Being I haven’t professionally had my hair braided since I was a child, it was nice to sit and get pampered. Taylor is extremely professional, diligent, and such a gentle spirit. As black women we can all understand how society tries to make us feel about our hair – I’ve never felt more beautiful than the she finished my hair. What I admire most is the friendship that came from this. To have a friend that encourages you, inspires you, prays for you. Again, her work environment is clean, safe, professional, her pricing is so fair and it is a guarantee when you leave her chair, you’ll be back again. My experience with Taylor helped heal the little girl in me who was afraid to step into my beautiful black hair and culture.
