We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Szyman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Amanda, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
One story that’s always stayed with me happened early on in my post-op career. I had a client who flew in from out of town for a major surgery, and she didn’t have anyone local to help her. I stepped in for three days of care. She was in pain, emotional, and unsure if she had made the right decision. I stayed with her, cared for her wounds, helped her eat and move comfortably, and gave her space to just feel human again. By the end of her care, she cried—not because she was in pain, but because she felt seen, supported, and safe. She told me, ‘You gave me the kind of care I didn’t even know I needed.’ That moment reminded me why I created Alamo Sculpting and Wellness—to offer compassionate care, not just clinical help.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I’m Amanda Szyman, the founder of Alamo Sculpting and Wellness. I’m a registered nurse with a background in pediatric and post-operative care, and I started my business out of a deep passion for helping women feel confident, cared for, and at home in their own bodies whether they’re healing from surgery or simply seeking to look and feel their best.
I got into this industry because I saw a missing link between medical recovery and emotional well-being. Post-op clients were often sent home without the support they truly needed—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. At the same time, I saw so many women who were doing the work to care for themselves but didn’t have access to quality, trustworthy wellness services that actually made them feel empowered. I knew I could fill that gap with a holistic, compassionate approach.
At Alamo Sculpting and Wellness, I provide:
Lymphatic drainage treatments
In-home post-operative care and recovery support
Body sculpting services to contour, tone, and support non-surgical transformations
Wellness injections like B12, Lipo Plus, and Tri-Immune
IV hydration therapy for energy, immunity, and recovery support
What sets my business apart is the personal care behind every service. I don’t just offer treatments, I build trust. I help women recover, recharge, and reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe, supportive, and uplifting. Whether a client is healing from surgery or investing in self-love through sculpting or wellness injections, I meet them exactly where they are in their journey.
I’m most proud of creating a space where women can feel seen and celebrated where they can feel beautiful, strong, and confident in their skin. My mission is to help every client walk out feeling better than when they walked in not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and Alamo Sculpting and Wellness, it’s this: You deserve to feel good in your body, supported in your healing, and confident in who you are every single day.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back, I would absolutely choose the same profession just maybe even a little sooner. Nursing gave me the foundation to care for people in a clinical, compassionate way, but launching Alamo Sculpting and Wellness allowed me to take that care to a deeper, more personalized level.
Being able to combine medical knowledge with wellness, confidence-building, and self-love has been the most fulfilling path. It’s more than a profession it’s my purpose. Watching women heal, transform, and feel empowered in their own skin makes every long day and late night worth it. So yes, I would choose this all over again without hesitation.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I first launched Alamo Sculpting and Wellness, it was an in-home business just me, working out of a small space in my house. I was doing lymphatic treatments and sculpting sessions while my kids were napping or after long nursing shifts. At the time, I was working full-time as a nurse, going back to school to further my career, and juggling life as a mom and wife. It was chaotic, exhausting, and honestly overwhelming at times but I knew I was building something that mattered.
There was one season that really stands out. I had just taken on a full-time nursing schedule while trying to keep up with client appointments at home. I’d wake up early to get the kids ready, go to work, come home, and see clients late into the evening. There were days I questioned whether I could keep going but I always reminded myself: this is bigger than me. I was creating a space for women to feel confident, to heal, and to be cared for in a way that was personal and meaningful.
That journey taught me that resilience isn’t about having endless energy it’s about having relentless purpose. I didn’t start with much, but I started with heart. And that’s what carried me through the long nights, the missed sleep, and the moments of doubt. Today, I look at the business I’ve built and the clients I get to serve and I know every sacrifice was worth it.
