We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amanda Sullivan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Amanda , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
Yes, taking a vacation is a must as a business owner. Most business owners have families with small kids. Being an entrepreneur is hard with a family, it’s all about balance and prioritizing your work. We personally let our customers/clients know we will be on vacation by a social media post of the vacation days etc. To all entrepreneurs is to take vacations to revamp, review and improve on upcoming products or services you want to add to your business. Family is important along with your mental health.

Hi, my name is Amanda Sullivan and I’m the CEO of Beauti and the Beatz. I started this industry a few years ago not knowing I was sleeping on my own talent. I have hosted pop up shops to introduce other small businesses to each other . I’m very proud of learning from mistakes that I have made and will continue to learn from them. What set us apart from others is that we don’t stop nor give up. Giving up is easy stay focus and everything will work out. Find a mentor if you’re having issues with your business. We also offer great customer service while applying make up application and hosting networking events.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The best source of new clients are word of mouth and posting content. Also, follow people that share the same interests as you.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Our audience was built by posting constantly and introducing ourselves by going into someone’s inbox. You have to think about how you want to build your audience. You can do so by running raffles, discounts and so much more!
