Amanda , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Before I launched my business, I was working at Sephora, I remember a lady who came in one evening, she seemed very upset and shaken up. She had just come from another makeup store and had a horrible experience with a sales associate when trying to find makeup for herself. I assured her I would help her find products that would work for her. It was clear that she was uncomfortable and worried. I sat her down and proceeded to ask her what she was looking for. I applied products to her face and taught her how to use them. When she saw the final result she started to cry and hugged me. She felt so beautiful and seen! I decided right then and there that my mission in life would be to make women feel beautiful and know their worth.

Hi there, my name is Amanda Rose, owner of Rose Beauty! I offer professional Makeup services for Weddings, Photoshoots and Special Events in NC. I have always had an interest in makeup artistry. When I was little I remember always watching my Mother apply her makeup and then digging into her stash when she was finished, applying as much as I could to myself. The interest stuck with me through high school, I took theater classes and did makeup for the plays we would put on. My first beauty related position was at Ulta, I wanted to learn more about makeup artistry so I applied for a role at Sephora! I worked there for a total of 4 years, during that time I fine tuned my skills and got certified in makeup application. I started freelancing in 2017 on the side while I worked an administrative position. I launched my business, fulltime, in 2021 and haven’t looked back! I am fueled by my passion for Makeup Artistry and I pride myself on my professionalism, communication and hygienic practices. Connection is very important to me and I strive to personalize every interaction with my clients!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source for receiving new clients for me is a combination of social media and word of mouth. Posting my client photos on social media plat forms and staying relevant is extremely important. Connecting with my clients and giving them an excellent experience is my top priority. I’ve had so many clients recommend me to their family members and friends and I can not express how appreciative I am for that!
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I keep in touch with most of my clients through Social Media. I love to get to know my clients and check in with them and their families periodically. There are many clients of mine that I have provided services to through a lot of their major life events, graduations, weddings, even maternity photoshoots! It means the world to me to be trusted by my clients to provide my services for their personal milestones!
