Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Sakovitch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amanda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe success comes from authenticity. In a sales-driven industry like real estate, there are many professionals who master the psychology of sales and find great success with it—but that’s not my style. I got into this business because I genuinely love shopping for homes. Whether it was for myself, family, or friends, I found joy in the process. When there was no one left to shop for, I realized I still wanted more.
That passion shows in how I work with my clients. They can see that I’m truly invested in finding the right home for them, and that builds trust and confidence in every transaction. I’m not driven by closing a sale—I’m driven by helping them get the home we’ve found together.
I think when you are authentically yourself and use your real voice to connect, whether that’s through cold calling and door knocking or by simply being present and sharing your passion for what you do, the right people will find you, want to support you, and your business will grow because of it. Authenticity is magnetic, and people naturally gravitate toward those they trust.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a mom of two and began my real estate career just three weeks postpartum with my second child. I was invited to join a team at a boutique brokerage in my hometown, which I accepted—and it was by far the best decision I could have made for my career.
Real estate has always been a passion of mine. Whether it was shopping for homes for myself, family, or friends, I found joy in every step of the process. Turning that passion into a career felt like a natural transition, and it shows in how I approach my work today.
When working with me, clients can expect personalized service, clear communication, and a deep commitment to their goals. I’m not driven by sales tactics—I’m driven by the desire to help people find the home that’s right for them and to build lasting relationships based on trust and authenticity. I’m also supported by my two mentors on my team, who are the number one real estate team in the city, which allows me to provide even more value and expertise to my clients.
Although I’ve only been actively practicing real estate for 10 months, I’ve sold five homes and am currently in escrow for two more. Once these two escrows close, my total sales will be $6.5 million. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished in such a short time and am excited to continue helping my clients achieve their real estate dreams.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The best thing I could have done to build my reputation and gain trust within my market was to join a reputable team. My team consists of the two brokers at my office and myself. Both brokers have over 20 years of experience in the business and have built outstanding reputations for themselves.
Working alongside them has allowed me to learn an incredible amount, both in terms of real estate knowledge and how to best serve my clients. Beyond the learning experience, being part of their team has positioned me as someone worth speaking to in the market, rather than being perceived as just another new agent. That credibility has been instrumental in helping me build my own reputation.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I pursued owning and operating my own bakery for many years. It was an incredibly challenging experience—often confusing as I tried to navigate that world seemingly on my own. While I learned a lot, I eventually realized that I needed a change.
Pivoting to real estate was a turning point for me. I love this niche I’ve found, which gives me the freedom and creativity of entrepreneurship, but with the added structure and guidelines that help me thrive. It’s been the best of both worlds, and I feel grateful to have found a career that aligns so well with my strengths and passions.
