We recently connected with Amanda Rose and have shared our conversation below.
Amanda, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I went to college for Acting for Film and Television, and graduated into the 2008 recession. I was in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where the film industry is entirely reliant on US film companies coming up north for their projects. During the recession, for the first time in decades, the Canadian Dollar was stronger than the US dollar, so no one was coming to film up here. In one fell swoop it felt as if my dreams had been smashed to bits. I got an agent, and still auditioned for the few roles that were around, but ultimately I didn’t work for a year. Finally, when my parents couldn’t help support me anymore, and after months of applying for regular jobs for money to live on, I landed a job in door to door sales. I never imagined I’d be doing something like this, but desperate times had me doing anything I could to get by. From there I went n to do retail, and eventually live in-store sales presentations. By 2013 I was burnt out and unaligned with “working just for money.” With just a few months of savings in the bank, I quit my job, and vowed never to work for anyone else ever again. I didn’t know what I was going to do, i just knew I wasn’t living in alignment with my life’s purpose anymore.
I ended up joining a Network Marketing company, not knowing what an “MLM” was at the time, but I had been a customer of this particular company for years and loved their products. I made a grand total of $600 my first year, but I was determined to succeed. The following years would bring painfully slow growth.
In 2016 my husband lost his job, and by that point I was earning roughly $600-800 a month; and while we were used to living under the poverty line, that certainly was not enough to live on. It was then that i had to finally confront my limiting beliefs around money. I dove in full tilt, read every book on money, mindset, and manifesting that I could find, and lo-and-behold, within 6-months we had manifested over 6-figures. From then on, our lives have unfolded in the most miraculous ways, and it all started with a leap of faith to go out on my own.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
After experiencing the incredible power of Manifestation, I shifted gears from Health & Wellness, into teaching what I had learned. What I begin to seriously and purposefully implement the Law of Attraction, I knew that for me to be fully on board I had to understand all aspects of it; I was tired of trainers who only came at it from the spiritual point of view; my logical mind needed something more to hold on to. So I studied the psychological and quantum physics aspects of manifesting to truly understand it. That led to my unique methodology, where I teach my students the spiritual, psychological and scientific reasons it works, so that they can lean into it with full trust.
I initially ran a course called, the 3-week Law of Attraction retreat, which has since been published in 2018 as my Bestselling Book, Manifesting on Purpose. I’ve gone on to publish over 30 books, and create over 40 trainings on manifestation, mindset, business development and leadership, sales, marketing, and wealth management.
I want entrepreneurs to know that there’s no “one right path” to success. There are many ways to achieve your goal, and the key is finding out what works for you! You’re a unique person, and your business is as individual as you are.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Once The infinite Power of You Inc. was running smoothly, with systems and automations in place, I expanded and started a second company. My second corporation, the No BS biz Co. Ltd. I co-founded with my Business Partner, Tony Babcock. Tony and I originally had met in high-school, in an all-day drama program we were in for a semester together. We had remained friends through the years, though hadn’t been in touch much.
Tony had run a business supporting actors and was bridging into helping entrepreneurs with their businesses. One day we got together and talked about all the “cringe-worthy” things we say coaches doing in the online space, and decided to start a podcast called the “No BS Biz Show” to talk about what business really looks like behind the scenes (we started the podcast the day after we had the idea). The podcast took off, and 10 months later we decided to start a secondary company to serve that audience.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Hands down Facebook has produced the most clientele for me over the past decade. I love long-form content and having genuine conversations with people, and Facebook gives me the ability to do that and to find like-minded people through groups!
