We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Rome West recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Amanda Rome thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?
When I signed with my agent, Myreon Arslan, it really opened my eyes to having good people on your team. If you have good people on your team, they will support you no matter what, and they will help you get great auditions and book the roles that you were meant to play. As an artist, musician, producer, and content creator, on top of being an actor, I am always looking for new opportunities, and my agent is on top of it bringing them to me. If you don’t have a good agent, you should change agencies because there’s nothing worse than having someone who is not looking out for your best interest. I’m so glad I signed with MJB talent and it really panned out for me in the long run. Have faith in your brand and be yourself and the right people will come.

Amanda Rome, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Check ALL of my work out on AmandaRomeWest.com and be sure to subscribe for my exclusive content. I am a musician, content creator, actor, artist, producer, and influencer. I do a lot of different hustles because I’m a creative, at the end of the day. My focus is always to make people feel something and show them a different side of life that they may have not considered before. I went to USC to study business cinematic arts, and this is where I began my work in the entertainment industry. I’m originally from Washington DC and I moved to LA at age 18 to embark upon my entertainment journey. After I graduated school in 2020, I formed my production company, watched the entertainment with my fiancé, and we began working on our animated series, which you could actually check out on WebToon right now- The Winds of Okoshu. I am currently the executive producer on that as well as I am working on a lot of new music and content creation projects. The best advice I can give to young creatives is to go after your dreams and always be working on projects that you are interested in. If something does not interest you, do not do it. You should only be doing things that make you happy and make you feel like you are contributing to a creative space.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The mission of my creative journey is to show everyone that you can be yourself. If you work hard, and you create content that reflects who you are, you will feel great about yourself. I used to do things because other people told me to and then I would get a lot of clicks and views, but now that I’m being myself, I feel that I have garnered a larger audience. I am very grateful to all my fans and followers.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of my creative journey is seeing peoples faces light up after they experience my content/music/work. My goal in life is to show people that you can really be yourself no matter what, and that you are beautiful as you are be yourself and don’t change anything. Obviously always work on yourself and be the best version of yourself. You can be, but don’t change yourself for other people just because they tell you to. Do what you love and if you are talented, everything will come to you.
