Amanda, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success looks different for every individual. I view myself as “successful” if I stay true to my values, maintain a positive mindset, and am continuously learning/honing my craft. This type of success brings me deeper satisfaction than material achievements.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always dreamed of starting a personal vlog or TikTok, but the fear of taking that leap held me back. Creating content is such a vulnerable act, and starting out can feel pretty intimidating.
In early March, I finally decided to go for it and began my TikTok journey. While I’m still new to the world of content creation, I’m excited to shine a spotlight on local businesses and see where each new day takes me. It’s been quite the adventure learning how to build a brand—this time, for myself!
My goal is to create content that not only brings me joy but also resonates with those who watch. I want to show people that they can be their own ‘niche.’ We often get caught up in thinking we need to look a certain way or stick to specific types of content to build a following, but I don’t believe that’s the case. I think there is great power in vulnerability and sharing your personal story with people can help others realize that they’re not alone.
I am proud of the community that I have built on TikTok as I feel like it is filled with humans who share that mission and want to create authentic content. That brings me so much joy every day.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I learned at the beginning of my content creation journey is that I have to make content that is “me” and not content I see others making and being successful with. I really struggled in the beginning with feeling like I needed to fit in a nice little content creator box. It has been so freeing to make content that I want to make and not content I feel like I HAVE to make.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My personal mission is to stay true to myself and to create content that brings me joy.
The minute I stop creating content that does that is when I need to step away from content creation and realign myself.
