Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda rae Pierce . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amanda rae , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I am a very happy business owner. I loose all sense of time when I’m “working”. I’ve worked way more as a business owner than I ever did at my old 9-5 job, but it doesn’t bother me one bit. I know I’m building a legacy to leave to my two girls. I know every single day I’m showing my girls how to reach for the stars and how to have BIG dreams.
I’m not going to lie, during busy seasons I long for a vacation. The tired eyes and achy back get rested and recharged and that thought goes away. Another day of creating is another blessing to be thankful for.

Amanda rae , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! I’m Amanda rae Pierce, the creative mind behind Pip Pop!Balloons. I’m a mom of two sweet girls. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 15 years. I’m a lover of all things fabulously unique, a Starbucks addict, margarita taste tester and joy seeker.
My passion for balloons started when my oldest was turning two years old. A mommy blogger on Instagram was showing how she made a simple balloon garland and I decided to give it a try for my daughter’s birthday celebration. The birthday fairy was created that year and she now shows up every family birthday to sprinkle birthday joy around the house. Fast forward about 7 years later, one of my sweet friends was returning to work after a battle with breast cancer. A group of us wanted to welcome her back by decorating her office. I decided to bring one of my garlands to make her office really pop with color. In that decorating session, my friends encouraged me to make a business out of my newly discovered skill set. I immediately ran home, brainstormed on the name, created a logo and Pip Pop! balloons was born.
I am proud to provide my clients with custom organic balloon garlands and products. I love helping my clients achieve the party/event of their dreams.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I really love sharing this piece of my business story. When I started Pip Pop! I was a stay at home Mom who had many jobs. I was a nanny. I taught private swim lessons and ran a little girls clothing mobile boutique. When I officially launched, I was ending a 7 year run with a little girls clothing line. I was really sad to be walking away from this brand/company that I had found my identity and work passion in. I’m really grateful for God’s timing. Knowing that most small businesses take at least 18 months to really grow/gather success I knew that it would take some time to gather a following. Man was I pleasantly surprised. After a few months I was booking out every weekend. After 11 months in business, I had to step away from my nanny job to do balloons as my full time job. I went from doing 2-3 balloon installs a weekend to consistently doing balloons 5-7 days a week.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Referrals! No joke, I started this business with just an Instagram account. That is it. My family, friends and customers have done all the rest. All of my business has come from word of mouth and people tagging me on social media.
