We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Rabon recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Amanda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Gypsy Belle Photo Bus’s name was inspired by travel and roots. Gypsy for us means to travel from place to place, and to go wherever your event is taking place. I wanted to use Belle as a reminder that even though we travel our roots are based in the south.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Hi. I’m Amanda. I’ve been in the wedding industry in some fashion for almost twenty years. I have always had a love of weddings and events and have fortunately made a career out of a passion.
My love of VW busses and wanting to own one has been around since I was a child. The idea to use my love of VW’s and my love of weddings just made sense. In the fall of 2018 Gypsy Belle Photo Bus was born. A photo booth inside a VW bus that specializes in weddings. We lovingly call the bus, Vada.
In the fall of 2021 we were blessed to add a second photo booth, this time inside a 63’ Shasta Camper. We also expanded and added a mobile bar also inside a Shasta Camper, under the name Zen Goat Event Co.
As we are expanding, we are able to reach more customers. Especially during the busy wedding seasons.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Finding new clients I believe is the goal for most companies. No matter the size, we all rely on new clients to continue running a successful business. I have found the most effective source of finding new clients is word of mouth. I also find this to be my biggest achievement as well. If people are speaking highly of your product and customer service and other people hire you based on that recommendation, than you are doing something right.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media is a beast of constant changing and the latest trends. In a world distorted to look the best and showcase only the good, it can be quite tricky to find your footing online. I have found the following to be true about social media. As long as you are being true to yourself and your brand you will find your audience. Never buy followers, you want an audience that will actually buy your product and engage . Numbers in followers don’t matter as much as you think. Have fun, be yourself and the right people will find you!
