We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amanda Parker. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amanda below.
Amanda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Real transformation happens when you let go of everything you think you know and are willing to explore all the layers in between.
I believe that true personal growth goes beyond just practical tools, which is why I use unconventional techniques like visualization, intuition, and energy healing to tap into my clients’ inner wisdom, unlock their full potential and help them gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their desires. My clients appreciate the combination of practical strategies and visionary practices that I offer, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to work through their challenges and achieve their goals. In fact, I’ve been told that working with me is “magic”.
My approach is about creating a safe and supportive environment where my clients can be open, honest and vulnerable as they work through their challenges, achieve their goals and transform their lives. And let’s be real: growth can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be serious all the time! I infuse my coaching with a healthy dose of humor, making the process not only effective but also enjoyable.
Truth be told, no two clients are the same – and neither is the work we do together! I work with my clients, wherever they are on their journey so they can safely explore alternative approaches to personal growth and healing. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting the left-brained, analytically minded person to go deep on a lucid journey, or the shy creative entrepreneur to stand up on her dining room table and make a speech to her (empty) living room. All of my clients are asked to come with an open mind and open heart, trusting that together we will find our way through to exactly what they need, when they need it.
Whether someone is looking to become an impactful and inspiring leader, find greater fulfillment in their life, or breathe life into a dream that’s laid dormant for too long, I work with them to help them achieve their goals in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. With my unique background in leadership, project management, entrepreneurship, reiki healing, and deep meditation, I have the tools and expertise to help you unleash your full potential and transform your life in ways you never thought possible.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a creative entrepreneur and transformational coach, I’ve spent over a decade honing my craft and helping others achieve their full potential. My journey started over 15 years ago, when I was working in a variety of corporate, non-profit, and consulting roles, but felt a deep sense of purpose calling me. Throughout the years, I followed that inner voice, moving from from Marketing in NYC to Wildlife Conservation in South America, and finally to Leadership Development in Berlin (and beyond!) gaining valuable experience in entrepreneurship, leadership development, and personal transformation.
I was first introduced to coaching in 2014 and was immediately struck by its transformative power. I honed my skills as an in-house coach at WWF and later through a fellowship with an executive coach in Berlin. Through these experiences, I discovered my innate ability to empower others to live with courage and pursue their passions.
After completing my Executive MBA, I left the world of wildlife conservation to focus on leadership development, working with organizations such as The World Bank Group, World Economic Forum, UNICEF, Deutsche Telekom, and Zalando. I spent a year at a leadership consultancy to learn the ins and outs of running impactful programs, and eventually started my own business, The Courage Factory and Amanda Parker Coaching. I’ve continued on my own personal growth journey ever since, becoming a Reiki Master, training in psychic awareness, discovering an innate talent for guiding people through transformative meditative journeys, and coming ever closer to my own intuition and purpose.
Since then, I’ve evolved my services based on the incredible clients I’ve had the privilege to work with. Today, I offer personalized 1:1 transformation programs with Elevate, a supportive community of growth-minded individuals in T7M, and a monthly New Moon Circle to help people set clear intentions and tap into their inner wisdom.
Most of my clients find themselves at a point in their lives and career where they’ve already achieved everything they thought they wanted to – they have reached a certain level of success and know they “should feel grateful” because they “have it all” and yet there’s a voice inside them that keeps nudging them to something more. The material success doesn’t feel how they expected and they know they have a greater purpose in the world waiting to be uncovered. They are ambitious, open-minded dreamers – some are leaders, some are entrepreneurs, and some are artists and creators. Whatever walk of life they come from, they are seeking support to get clarity on what’s next and feel confident and courageous enough to reach for it.
My clients have left their businesses to follow a passion for medical technology, have been promoted into senior executive roles within hyper-growth scale ups, have created new businesses, and have quit their consulting work to follow their dreams of creating art or writing. One of my clients recently shared, “Amanda’s coaching has been a game-changer for me. Her intuition, wisdom and support have helped me to unlock my full potential and live a more authentic and fulfilling life.” With my background in leadership and business, and my interest in creative visualization, lucid dreaming, and energy healing, I create truly transformational experiences for my clients.
The relationship between my clients and I is where the true magic lies. With an open heart and open mind, anything is possible. I am proud of the life-changing results I’ve been able to help my clients achieve, and I can’t wait to see where our work together will take us next.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with an eclectic group of clients from across the globe, some who found me through their online search, while others were introduced to my coaching through their corporate leadership program. But the real gem for me are those who come through personal referrals from past clients. This is the ultimate validation of the impact I’ve had on someone’s life, and when they spread the word and refer others to experience what they’ve gone through, it’s a huge honor. That’s the golden ticket right there, and I’m always humbled by it.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first began working in wildlife conservation, I thought I had found my career for life. I truly believed that the only thing I would ever want to do was protect the nature and habitats that the most fascinating (and endangered) creatures in the world lived in. I started in the conservation world back in 2010 as a volunteer in Paraguay. I then continued my work from Berlin, while staying closely connected to the eco-systems in South America and expanding my work out to Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe as well. I felt like I had achieved my dream and couldn’t believe this was my job.
And that’s why it was so difficult for me to realize that after seven years in the field, I no longer had the same passion for what I was doing. It wasn’t that I cared less about the work we were doing, quite the opposite actually, but more that I didn’t love the role I played in it. I felt like even though I had an important role as a project manager, I had so many other passions and talents I wasn’t getting to use.
It was an incredibly difficult decision to leave the world of wildlife protection behind, especially since it had formed such a deep and intricate part of my identity. But at some point I just knew that I couldn’t grow any more where I was and needed to forge another path forward.
When I did, finally, decide to leave in 2017, my life changed drastically in a myriad of ways. I began my training as a coach in earnest, I spent 7 months traveling around Asia as I built my business and began my training as a reiki healer. I started to tap into intuition I didn’t even know existed within me and let go of a lot of the self-limiting beliefs and blocks that had been keeping me feeling stuck for so long. The pivot, in other words, was a major transformation in my life and I got to relearn who I was and what really mattered to me.
I no longer had to pretend to be something or someone I wasn’t, I could shed the skin of the identity I had worn for so long and go beneath the surface to see what was really waiting for me. And I was thrilled and shocked to discover that I was both intuitive and creative, that I was not only deeply empathetic but also a healer, and that I had unique gifts as a coach and guide that I had never known existed before.
Leaving the world of conservation – a world that only years before had been an unopened book – gave so much more depth to my life and let me really, truly meet myself as a person. That is the kind of transformation that I endeavor to gift the people I work with – that sense of truly uncovering who you are beneath all the stories you’ve been telling and the identities you’ve been wearing for so long.
I am grateful for each pivot along my journey for it has led me exactly where I am today. I no longer feel the need to know it all or have all the answers, but truly, deeply trust that I will keep figuring it out as I go.
