We recently connected with Amanda Morie and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Amanda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One thing that I learnt is that happiness is not out there, it is within you. Action may not bring happiness but there is no happiness without action. It is a symbiotic wave of emotion that goes hand in hand. You know, many people come to me and ask how are you always so happy, kind and positive? Why do you think they ask me this? I want you to think about this question while I explain my story.
After traveling the world to 84 countries, meeting so many amazing people and learning about their world, hearing all of their stories, listening to them laugh and smiling back at them on the street and sharing moments with strangers I thought I would never see again really had an effect on me. After the world experienced a lockdown, I learnt that these moments are the ones I thought about all the time and I was so grateful to have experienced them. To share these raw, open and authentic moments with people meant so much to me because it meant I saw their inner beauty and in return they saw mine. Living openly and authentically allows us to receive positive energy and good vibes while feeling connected whole heartly with the universe.
Having a strong desire to travel again, I decided to take a trip to the Mayan Rivera to take some time to really think about what I wanted to do next in life. I knew that I loved travel, photography, fashion and loved being part of a community no matter where I went in the world. I also believe the world would be a better place if we understood each other’s cultures and that is when I knew it was time to introduce the world to The List Club (TLC).
I felt there was an opportunity to try and revolutionize the way we think of and experience travel. From planning, to style, to cultural authenticity and even how we connect as a community to come together to create memories, The List Club is an app where people can plan their entire trip, whether it’s local, abroad or multi-destination and share it with friends. It can keep track of your reservations, itinerary, bookings and even let you build your outfits for the day from your closet. I want you to spend less time worrying about keeping track of everything and more time engaging, experiencing and creating memories on your trip. It even offers podcasts to keep you company and learn about local culture as you sit back and enjoy your flight. There is so much more I can say about this app but that’s all I can reveal for now. Discover a new way to travel with The List Club, you won’t regret it.
While waiting for this exciting app release to come to the Apple app and Google Play store, you can stay up to date on our website https://thelistclub.app, socials @thelistclub, or pre-register to receive a club membership discount by sending your email to hello@thelistclub.app
Now to answer my previous question, I choose every day to wake up with no phone distractions, mediate for 10 minutes, write my daily affirmations and let go from the past and finish it off with yoga. I have learnt with a clear, strong mind and body your day is set. Choosing to live in the present and be grateful for what I have now is how I learn to shine within and I love it. I find myself smiling all the time and learning to resolve issues before they even happen. If you are not proactive with your life and take a step out of your comfort zone you cannot be 1% better the next day. I invite you to close your eyes put one hand on your stomach and one hand on your heart and if you feel your heart open then you know you are being open to that moment. I dare you to take that step, keep your chin up and smile. You can achieve anything you want if you are open to it and that is why I took that step to start TLC and I am so excited to have you along for the ride too.
Amanda , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Canadian-born and New York / Miami – made, I am an international artist and photographer that is inspired by the luxury of life and travel. For the past few years, I’ve been traveling the world, totaling 84 countries and all 7 continents. I am a photographer for Vogue USA, Esquire Magazine and managed by a photography agency called Meero in Paris, France.
As an artist my travel inspirations have revealed an artist who has successfully blended my passion for art, daily painting habits and techniques to create a fresh original body of work that helps stimulate my ongoing pursuit of knowledge. Working primarily in acrylics and mixed medias, like concrete and precious metals, my abstract modern expressionist paintings play with color and texture to organically move in various settings of light and space.
Being a classically trained flutist since the age of six I’ve had the opportunity to play professionally with the Edmonton Youth Symphony Orchestra and then the Symphony Orchestra. Even though I was playing across Canada and the United States since the age of eight, I won my first art award at the age of twelve and completed my first group exhibition at the age of fourteen. The very next year I won another award for creating a painting advertisement for Red Cross Canada and had my first solo traveling exhibition in multiple galleries across the province of Alberta, Canada.
Galleries in New York City started to take notice of my artwork and I started to gain success after my first sold out solo exhibition at Artifact Gallery in the Lower East Side in 2012. That same year I had two more exhibitions in New York and was a finalist for Miss Universe. In 2013 I modelled in NYFW F/W and was seen on Good Morning America with Katy Perry. Combining the colors of Matisse and the brush strokes of Monet, I established my own unique style as the New York Times described as “vibrant , bold and says hello, Amanda is here- watch out!”.
In 2018 I became an official artist for the City of Miami. I’ve been named “Top 100 Women in Business” by Chanel in Paris, France in 2019 and moved to Barcelona, Spain to open my art studio. In 2022 I was nominated by Entrepreneurs Herald as “Top 40 under 40”, to be announced in the summer.
I am currently represented by:
- Artist Lane Gallery, Melbourne, Australia
- TRiCERA ART, Toyko, Japan
- Twenty 6 North Productions, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
- NYA Gallery (six different locations), Manhattan, NYC, USA
- Arto Gallery, Laval, Quebec, Canada

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Can you guess the answer to the following riddle: “You can own it, but you can’t take it and touch it.” Yes, the answer is NFT art. Today, almost everyone can give the correct answer as NFT technology has revolutionized many sectors in the world. More and more people wonder how to make their own NFTs and earn a good profit.
There are still those who don’t have a clear understanding of what NFTs mean to art. So, what is NFT art? Let’s find this out together.
To answer the question “What is NFT art?” we need to delve a bit deeper. An NFT (non-fungible token) is a digital piece of artwork that is 100% unique. The main idea behind the NFT art is that you can own digital pieces without having the physical artwork in your home. You don’t need to be an artist to create your own NFT.
The most important thing you need to understand about the NFT meaning in art is that it’s valuable because of your ownership rights. Many people buy and resell NFTs to make some money.
Artists say that NFT art has become the best way to monetize their work. Everyone can generate income from NFTs. For this, you just need to find a reliable marketplace and follow the guidelines on how to turn the chosen file into the necessary format. All NFTs have value because they can’t be copied. For this, you need to tokenize your NFT by using Ethereum (ETH) blockchain technology. The blockchain records information and plays a role of a reliable storage place.
Now, according to the NFT art definition, you can’t swap one digital item to another one and get the same value. It’s difficult to predict if the value of a certain NFT decreases or increases with time. You don’t need to be a guru to succeed in creating NFTs and NFT art sales. If you have a computer and a creative mind, you can make an NFT fast and easily, either at a fixed price or at an auction. My view is that this opens a whole new world to all types of creative, mixing music, with art pieces, with graphic art or whatever may it be. It opens a whole new window to potentially creating a new masterpiece for an artist who has run dry. I think if artists want to try and succeed in this market, they really should do it because the experts say it’s only going to get better and better.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative?
Bringing a new idea to life is the most rewarding aspect of my work. During the creative process, I feel most inspired when I have a new idea and the vision to create it. By working through this process, I design and experiment to refine a particular technique.
