Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Jennings. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Amanda, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
When I decided to leave my full-time job to pursue real estate full-time, it was one of the most significant risks I’ve ever taken. I had a stable career, a steady income, and the comfort of knowing exactly what to expect each day. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t completely fulfilled. Real estate had always been a passion of mine, something I’d dabbled in on the side, but I felt the pull to make it my main focus.
The decision wasn’t just about me—I’m a wife and a mother of two, so I had to consider the impact on my family. It meant leaving behind the security we had and stepping into the unknown. At the same time, I had built a small bartending business, which added another layer of complexity. Balancing both the business and my new full-time real estate career while being present for my family was a challenge I knew would test my limits.
The backstory? It began with a growing sense of dissatisfaction in my former job. I wanted more control over my schedule, the freedom to chase my own goals, and the ability to provide a better future for my family. But the leap wasn’t easy. I had to weigh the financial risks, the fear of failure, and the uncertainty of whether I could make it work.
So, I made the leap. I threw myself into real estate, leveraging my skills from my previous job and my bartending business to connect with clients, network, and build my brand. The transition wasn’t smooth, but I was driven by the belief that this risk would pay off.
And how did it turn out? It’s been a rollercoaster, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything. The freedom I’ve gained, the growth in my real estate business, and the lessons learned from taking this risk have all been invaluable. My bartending business has also benefited, as I’ve been able to manage my time more effectively and pour my creativity into both ventures. Most importantly, I’m showing my kids the value of pursuing your passions and taking calculated risks to achieve your dreams.

Amanda, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was born in Atlanta,Ga and raised in College Park,Ga. I grew up taking honors classes in school. I love entertaining and creating. At the age of 16 I became an entrepreneur braiding hair. I got into real estate after working 14 years in the Auto industry (Rental Car, Auto Finance).
I’ve found so much joy in helping others create generational wealth through homeownership. I’m most proud of my growth overall. I have learned so much and I do my best to take the lessons and apply what I’ve learned from them to become better.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of relationship building and leveraging my local expertise. I focus on providing personalized service to each client, which often leads to referrals and repeat business. I also stay actively involved in the community, whether through local events or partnerships with other small businesses. This helps me stay top of mind and allows me to connect with potential clients in a more organic way. Additionally, maintaining a strong online presence through social media and targeted marketing campaigns has been key to reaching a wider audience and establishing credibility.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been a combination of my personal network and social media presence. My bartending business has allowed me to connect with a wide range of people, and being active on social media helps me stay top-of-mind with my audience. By consistently sharing valuable content and engaging with my community online, I’m able to reach new clients who resonate with my approach to real estate.
