Amanda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a client that you appreciate them?
I believe in providing my clients with a premium and personalized experience. This includes all of my clients receiving a special gift, taking local clients out to dinners or happy hours, sending birthday presents, get well cards, and gift certificates when applicable. I love giving my clientele a first class matchmaking journey! I can never guarantee to my clients that I will find their husband or wife, but I can guarantee that not only will they have a top-notch experience with me, but they will certainly leave a better single person and date than when they came to me.
Amanda, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My background is actually in several different industries, but I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. My undergraduate degree is in management information systems, and I was in the IT world for a little bit before going back to school to get my MBA. After graduate school, I taught college for almost a decade, while also starting a wedding and engagement photography business. After deciding that teaching, alone, was not filling my cup, I opened a successful boudoir studio in Dayton, Ohio. I owned that company, along with my best friend, Erica, for seven years. While adjunct teaching, and owning the photography studio, I befriended a lady who happened to be a professional matchmaker. She encouraged me to look into the career, which I obviously did, and completely fell in love! Although I thoroughly enjoyed matchmaking, I did not like how clients were treated in the industry. I felt like, for what they were paying for the service, they deserved more. Hence, The Crush Confidential was born!
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Understanding my target market and then submersing myself into that culture and lifestyle has played a huge role in my current success. If you want to attain high caliber clientele, you must live the lifestyle yourself.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Referrals are definitely my best source of clients. Nothing is louder than a happy client singing my praises! Clients trust their friends and family members who have had wonderful experiences with my service. I’ve been very blessed in this area.
