Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Dupnik. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amanda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have any advice regarding quality control and maintaining quality as your brand grows?
It takes a healthy and reliable team, to grow a successful business/company. It takes more than just one person. Never expect your first year to make millions, or you will be surely disappointed. With being in our first year we are still growing, but growing rapidly. I say we, because there is no I in my business. The company takes, the owner to start, Hair & Makeup artist, a manager, assistants, for sure a tax person!.
I have loved every moment of this learning process. We love seeing our brides smiling and getting their full look for there beautiful day. We only hire the best. We are not only good at are artistic abilities, but we are trust worthy, and 100% professional. When our brides work with us, we guarantee they will feel comfortable to express their inspiration pictures and concerns. Also feel comfortable with our artist.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
A little about myself, I am the owner of two businesses, BeautifytheBride & a cute little salon Hair Love & Bridal Bar Salon right in the heart of Oaklawn in Dallas, Texas.
I am about to be married, July 1st 2022 to my handsome Fiance Walter Garza, We are parents to our 2 beautiful 4 legged babies.
Nobody growing up expected me to be a hairstylist, I was always a huge tomb boy. Worked with horses and I was always outside, somewhere none girly. I was told everyone expected me to be a Vet or a Mechanic. I cant handle loosing a animal and hate school, and not to educated on autos, so those were not options.
When I was 20 I had to make a decision, and loved the creative side of being a hairstylist, all the crazy colors, balayage, different style hair cuts, always interested me.
Once I started working at a salon, I was forced to do Weddings Hair & Makeup, and ended up really loving it. Not to fond of makeup, but love hair styling. All the different types of braids, just to make 1 updo. Is amazing to me. I became really good at it. I have done weddings all over Texas, and even in Big Sky Montana. The pictures you get afterwards of your work on the beautiful brides that chose you, is everything.
My Brand for BeautifytheBride is not to just be artistic and have the ability to do hair, makeup, or both, But to also have high professionalism. We have a thorough application process, to know our artist we can count on. You will never have to worry about Our team not being there for your big day.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Me personally I have worked for several bridal teams, and have loved them. Meeting so many types of people, with different styles, and ways of doing things. When you been around so many types of salons and teams you learn a lot from them, and you take that and teach yourself what works, and what is not something you want to carry on to your own business.
You cant open a business without knowing what comes with it.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Being consistent and stay professional. Your clients want to feel comfortable and don’t want to worry about you not showing up. I see nearly every day a stylist cancels a wedding day of before the wedding. That is just not acceptable. If its an emergency then I completely understand, that is why you have a back up.
We have a fast growing team, and we are happy to say we will never cancel on you.
