We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amanda Camps. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amanda below.
Amanda, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I don’t remember the first time I dreamed about art as a career. I’ve wanted to pursue art and photography as a career for as long as I can remember but was worried about it as a career choice. For a long time I kept my creative endeavors and career separate.

Amanda, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always found joy recreating the natural world though multiple mediums. It is my hope to spread that joy through my art to whomever may need it.
I create art digitally, with inks, watercolors, acrylic, pastels, charcoal
My art is fun, positive and cute, I’m inspired by animals, nature and pop culture.
I take my art and make prints, greeting cards, stickers, keychains, bookmarks, magnets and more. I also book bind my own notebooks, sketchbooks and coloring books with my illustrations.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to bring joy though my artwork for others and myself. I focus on keeping my work positive and family friendly.
I love to see so many people happy when they see my work. The smiles, laughs and support mean a lot to me.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I had joined local art communities sooner. They are a great resource. I learned a lot and have had a lot of fun being part of them. It’s a great way to meet artist who are selling their work and get recommendations for what’s available out there.
