We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Bure recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Success is a mix of perseverance, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. It’s not just about talent or luck—it’s about showing up, putting in the effort, and growing from every challenge.
It also takes many years of apprenticeships or on-the-job training in different types of work settings to build a foundation of skill sets that are applicable to being a business owner. Gaining hands-on experience across various roles helps develop problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to different situations.
I decided to work closely to various business owners to really gain a concise understanding of what they deal with on a daily basis. At the end of the day, success is built on years of consistent effort, learning from failures, and understanding the value in re-branding your business along the way to keep up with market trends.

Amanda, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a dedicated and experienced real estate agent local to the vibrant & thriving Tampa Bay area. Time spent in cities like San Diego, Las Vegas, Atlanta and NYC have equipped me with a deep understanding of diverse markets, client needs, and real estate trends. Now focused on helping my clients in the Tampa Bay Area, whether they’re looking to sell in a timely manner, first-time buyer or looking to invest, I strive to provide expert guidance every step of the way.
Not only do I own my own real estate business, I also own a skin care and permanent make up company by the name of Supple Ink. I always had a deep passion for beauty, fashion and art. At the age of 16 I started my first job in a hair salon, I knew at that moment I would someday be my own business owner in the beauty field. After 13 years of traveling the US, in 2021 I arrived back in my hometown of Tampa, FL and pursued my dream! I had a daughter in 2022, and decided to take her with me to school at 6 weeks old. I successfully completed the Facial Specialist school and passed my state exam. Soon after, I developed my LLC and have been working with clients ever since. I use a product line called Farm House Fresh which is a clean, natural product line that truly aligns with my Holistic and Naturopathic beliefs.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation was built through a strong work ethic, consistency, and a genuine commitment to helping others. In customer service, reputation is everything—it’s about how you handle challenges, how you treat people, and how dependable you are.
Another factor was my ability to adapt and learn. I took on different roles in various work settings, which helped me build a well-rounded skill set. That experience not only made me more effective in my job but also reinforced my credibility as someone who understands the bigger picture.
At the end of the day, I think reputation is built on consistent actions—showing up, delivering results, and treating people with respect. That’s what makes a lasting impression.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One key aspect of resilience is learning from failure whether the fail was due to your decisions or outside circumstances out of our control. When Covid hit in 2020, I was living in NYC and dedicated years of learning the Real Estate Market and Business Management specific to that Tri State area. Everything changed when the entire city was forced to shut down. I had to pack up and move back to Tampa to restart my life. There were countless times where I felt like going back to an 8-5 salaried job, but instead I continued to push forward and keep my days organized and mind optimistic. To me, the most important factor is staying committed to the long-term vision. There will be times when things don’t go as planned—slow sales, difficult clients, or operational hiccups—but resilience means staying focused, problem-solving, and not giving up when things get tough.
