We recently connected with Amanda Allen and have shared our conversation below.
Amanda, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission is pretty simple in nature, my mission with Rawk Boutique is to help women find the perch piece that helps encourage confidence. I want everyone who walks in my doors to walk out feeling, loved, appreciated and most importantly see their value! Clothes are so simple in a day like we live in you can purchase clothing anywhere, with that being said I don’t just want customers to buy from me I want them to feel encouraged as they leave. Proverbs 31:25 says “She is is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future”, I don’t think I could come up with a better mission statement if I tried.
Amanda, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well lets start with basics, my name is Amanda Allen I am a Wife, Mother and Business Owner. All of which has shaped me into who I am today. I would not have the same drive for success if it was not for the little eyes on me counting on my success. I have undoubting belief in the skills God has blessed me with in hopes they will learn to do the same. I have always loved fashion since I was a child myself but never thought of becoming a store owner until I was 23. I honestly couldn’t tell you the time or the place I just got the idea fell for it and took of running with it. The industry is a little cold when you are first stepping your toes in there are not a lot of boutique owners that will not help guide you! So I got hard to work, I learned about brands I researched what permits and licences were needed, from there dug deep into how and what would make a boutique successful. This was all in 2020, I opened my first storefront right as Covid got serious, it really did not affect my numbers but it was very difficult to navigate the constant changing of regulations. Through this we decided to pursue online and move out of state. This transition was extremely difficult as most others had the same idea. Through this I lost sight of my business goals and focused on growing a family after I had my third baby I fought Post party depression really badly. I lost sight of everything but my love for my children and it was almost as if I envisioned seeing myself through there eyes that forced me to pick up the pieces. Realizing its not that life does not have set backs but you get up and keep fighting. So I did just that not only did I reopen my brick and mortar I came back better than ever. this time with a mission that I wanted all women to love who they see looking back at them in the mirror. I wanted to encourage women to truly find pieces that made them see the beauty within shine through.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
oh man there were multiple that got me to where I am today. from the original location facing Covid closing, going online, tapering out, facing post party depression, then reopening having issues in the building so in 3 days picking up and moving locations, have all been times I have had to show resilience. I would love to answer more on any of these just not sure how to answer this one.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I build a relationship with the client in store. I focus on really getting to know my customers and connection so that they want to come back in because they leave feeling better than when they walked in.
