Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Addy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Amanda, thanks for joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
When I launched my business, it started with a lot of trial and error. I spent a few weeks learning and perfecting the right painting techniques to work around bottle labels. I knew I couldn’t sell my designs until the base paint job was flawless. Once I had that down, I self-taught myself how to master decoupage as an all-over technique on champagne bottles. It took time, patience, and practice, but I was determined to create something truly special before sharing it with others. I started trialing different techniques at the beginning of January, and after weeks of perfecting my process, I was able to start selling bottles by the end of the month. Fun fact: my husband helped me come up with the name for my business, which made it even more meaningful!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Bubbly Pop is my creative outlet and small business where I specialize in custom decoupage champagne and bourbon bottles, as well as personalized gift curation. It all started shortly after I got married, when I wanted to explore my artistic side and create something meaningful while balancing my career as a physical therapist. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion that has grown into a full-fledged business.
At Bubbly Pop, I create unique, handcrafted bottles that are perfect for celebrating life’s special moments, from weddings and anniversaries to holidays and milestone events. I also offer curated gift services, helping customers create thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts. I have loved the opportunity to complete large corporate orders over the past year. Over time, I’ve expanded my business to include “Bottles and Bubbly” events, where I teach others how to decoupage their own champagne bottles. These events are a fun way to bring people together and connect with my community.
Whether it’s a custom bottle, a curated gift, or a hands-on workshop, Bubbly Pop is all about turning ordinary celebrations into extraordinary memories. It’s been an incredible journey to share my love for art, creativity, and celebrating with my amazing customers!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Instagram has been my best source of new clients and has played a huge role in growing my business. Branding photos have made a big impact by helping me showcase my bottles and gifts in a way that reflects the heart of Bubbly Pop. Through Instagram, I’ve also been able to connect with local boutiques and organizations, building relationships that have opened the door to collaborations, events, and new opportunities. It’s been amazing to see how social media can help me share my work, reach new audiences, and connect with people.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building my reputation in the market has been a combination of hard work, creativity, and strong connections. My husband owning a men’s clothing store has been a huge help in getting my name out there, as it introduced me to a network of local customers and businesses. Additionally, partnering with local boutiques to showcase my work has played a major role in growing my presence. These collaborations have allowed more people to see the quality and uniqueness of my custom bottles and curated gifts. Word of mouth and consistent social media branding have also been key in establishing my overall reputation.
