One of the most meaningful success stories for me came from a woman named Sarah. My journey into this industry has been deeply personal and born from years of learning, healing, and connecting with nature. Before starting the brand, I spent a few years as a massage therapist, working closely with clients and gaining firsthand experience with their pain, stress, and how trauma stores in the body. This deep connection to the human body and spirit led me deeply into my own holistic healing.
Come Alive Herbals began as a vision to create products that were more than just functional. I wanted to offer natural remedies that supported people’s well-being in a holistic way—helping to heal the body, and mind in a practical way. My products are rooted in Ayurvedic principles. I spent alot of time sourcing the best natural ingredients to help restore balance and vitality.
What sets Come Alive Herbals apart is our commitment to quality, authenticity, and the connection with my community. I don’t just create products in a lab; I test and refine each one with real people. I started my business while living in my car, which allowed me to pour every dime back into the business. I was on a mission so much greater than myself. I’m proud to say that I offer solutions that really work—products that our community trust and rely on for their self-care.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I started my business in my car, unpacking my little totes on picnic tables, setting up shop wherever I could. For six years, my car was home as I traveled the country, driven by the dream of building something meaningful and through that- a deep trust in what I saw for the future. In time, the business began to grow rapidly, and I pivoted, securing a storage unit to keep up with the expanding demand. I remember I hit my first $10,000 month in my little Toyota Rav4, and called my mom crying my eyes out with awe.
But the real shift came when I rented a long termAirbnb that became both my office and my place to sleep. In that small space, I hired over 12 girls, and together we were processing 400-500 orders a day, all while managing the growing chaos around us. It was intense, but it was also exhilarating.
Months later, I moved into my first warehouse, where I could finally bring some order to the madness. It was there that I had the space and clarity to organize the pieces of our growth. As a first-time business owner, I had to adapt quickly—learning how to manage a team, embrace the responsibilities of being a CEO, and navigate the challenges that came with it. Every pivot, every shift, was a lesson, and it all shaped me into the leader I am today. I can’t say I’m where I want to be as a leader, but every challange I’m faced with is a gift to learn and adapt.
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
When I started Come Alive Herbals, I had just $20 in my bank account and a handful of little jars of herbs. There was no funding, no investors—just me, my passion, and a belief that I could create something that truly resonated with people. Every step forward felt like a leap of faith, but I kept pushing because I believed deeply in the products I was creating.
I had no paid ads or outside capital; it was just me speaking directly to my audience, sharing my story, and connecting with people on a personal level. I didn’t just want to sell products—I wanted to build relationships. I listened to my customers, shared my journey, and showed up authentically every single day. Slowly, that connection grew into a community, and it was through this organic engagement that I made my first multi seven figures in sales.
Looking back, it wasn’t just a sale—it was a testament to the power of meaningful connection and trust. I put everything on the line with nothing but my voice and a few jars of remedies. It was risky, vulnerable, and full of uncertainty, but the results spoke for themselves. The success didn’t come from a flashy marketing campaign or a sudden stroke of luck. It came from staying true to my vision, engaging with my customers in a real and raw way, and never compromising on what I believed was possible.
