Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alyssa Rossi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alyssa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Creating. Community. Connection.
For me, “Creating” embodies the soul of my business—the artistry, dedication, and passion poured into every locally made artisan good that is showcased inside AdiLuna. It’s about creating a space where each product and maker has a story of creativity and local pride.
From handcrafted jewelry, unique artwork, and creative Colorado gear, each item in the store is a testament to the talent and spirit of our community’s artisans. I take pride in curating a collection that not only delights our customers but also supports the vibrant tapestry of local talent that surrounds us.
Creating a space where community can thrive is not just about the physical environment; it’s about fostering a sense of belonging, connection, and shared purpose.
AdiLuna isn’t just a store; it’s a vibrant hub where community gathers, connects, and thrives. From the moment you step through our doors, you’re welcomed into a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like home. Whether you’re a regular visitor or a first-time guest, you’re greeted with a smile and a sense of belonging that transcends transactions.
In essence, this space I’ve created isn’t just about selling unique products; it’s about building relationships, fostering connections, and nurturing a sense of belonging.
At the core of everything I stand for in my personal life and business, lies the power of connection—the invisible threads that bind us to one another. It’s the shared laughter with a loyal customer, the heartfelt conversations with new people I meet, and the partnerships forged with fellow entrepreneurs.
I believe in the transformative power of genuine human connection, whether it’s sparking a smile with a small gesture of kindness or collaborating with others to achieve a common goal. In every interaction, I strive to listen, understand, and empathize, knowing that true connection is the cornerstone of lasting relationships.
These three values aren’t just words on a page; they’re the guiding stars that illuminate my path forward, shaping not only my business but also it’s the very core of who I am. Together, through fostering creation, community, and connection, my aspiration is to become the embodiment of all three and establish a lasting presence both locally and beyond.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I think I covered most of this in the previous question, however. To add, I have been a local realtor for 12 years. Opening the boutique was a passion project that started with a friend in 2019, it created itself so organically, from the first conversation of opening a store to the actual doors opening, it was only 3months. I have faced multiple problems or roadblocks since. Covid being the first we had to overcome. I did not come from a strong retail background, but I had started businesses before and have been self employed since 2010, so I approached it as I would with anything in life. “We need to pivot, adjust, and adapt” since then I have faced multiple personal life challenges and changes, and it has been extremely difficult to overcome. But whether a blessing or a curse, I have refused to fail. I see a bigger purpose for this little business of mine in this Colorado town of Arvada. And that is outlined in the previous question with my core values being Creating ,Community, and Connection.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I think i touched a little on this already as well but to elaborate. I have been open for almost 5 years, and I still feel like I haven’t reached my full potential. Opening 9 months before COVID, that was the first hurdle to get through, and we did! Quickly, we adjusted and adapted to selling products and goods online and shipping all over the country! It was so amazing to see orders coming in from coast to coast. Trying not to get to personal, but unfortunately I ended up having a break up with my business partner almost at the very same time going through a divorce with two small children. Never in my life would I know the impact that would have on my business. I am seeing now, as I continue to try to keep my business going, how our personal lives impact everything and everyone else in our life. But things are looking up! People come into your life for a reason and I have slowly been rising out of the trenches to get back to what I want for myself, my kids, and my business.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I feel like I have done nothing but pivot, adjust, and adapt since I opened, lol. However, I think the biggest thing I have learned through the past 5 years is I can’t do it all on my own!!! I am starting to leverage help from others. I need to fill my weaknesses with the strengths of others in order to truly succeed. It’s starting to become a true collaboration and I am thrilled to see what happens!!!
