We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alyssa Hatchard a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alyssa , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk I ever took wasn’t a single moment — it was a soul decision:
Choosing to leave the “safe” path everyone expected of me and build a soul-led life instead.
After earning my degree in Psychology and Human Nutrition, I did everything I thought I was supposed to do.
I worked internationally in mental health, advocacy, and humanitarian spaces — jobs that looked inspiring on the outside, but left me deeply disconnected inside.
Even when I was making a difference in people’s lives, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t living my own truth.
The systems I worked inside often felt restrictive, transactional, and disconnected from real, soul-deep healing.
And after years of pushing through burnout, self-doubt, and invisible exhaustion, I hit a crossroads:
Keep going and betray my soul… or leap into the unknown and build something new.
I didn’t have a perfect plan when I left the traditional path.
I had a handful of dreams, a lot of faith, and a deep knowing that there had to be another way.
I started studying Reiki and energy work — eventually earning my Reiki Master Teacher certification in New Zealand.
I invested in transformational coaching, not just to learn how to guide others, but to heal myself.
I built Healing with Wanderlyss from scratch — one soul-led offering at a time.
I launched my podcast, Soul Pathways, with nothing but a mic, a dream, and a message I couldn’t keep quiet anymore.
And there were moments — so many moments — where fear whispered:
“Who do you think you are to do this?”
“What if no one listens?”
“What if it never works?”
But something stronger always answered back:
“Even if you’re scared, you’re not wrong for wanting more.”
Today, I work with visionary women and soul seekers all over the world — guiding them through their own Becoming journeys.
I lead retreats, train energy healers, and speak on stages — not because I “had it all figured out,” but because I took the risk to trust the unseen version of myself long before anyone else could see her.
Taking the risk to leave the conventional path and step into my soul’s path didn’t just change my career.
It changed my life.
It brought me back home to myself.
And if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this:
Sometimes the scariest risks are the ones that lead you straight to who you were always meant to be.

Alyssa , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Alyssa Hatchard — the founder of Healing with Wanderlyss, a transformational platform where I blend coaching, energy healing, storytelling, and soul work to guide others through their Becoming.
My path to this work wasn’t linear — it was a soul-led unfolding.
I studied Psychology and Human Nutrition at Saint Francis Xavier University, believing I would find my answers in traditional education.
After graduating, I spent five years working across the world in mental health, advocacy, and humanitarian spaces.
While the work was meaningful, I realized that true healing — the kind that touches your spirit and transforms your life — couldn’t happen inside broken systems.
It had to come from within.
After navigating deep burnout and my own awakening, I turned toward energy work, eventually earning my Reiki Master Teacher certification in New Zealand.
At the same time, I began training in transformational coaching and soul alignment mentorship, weaving together everything I had lived, learned, and healed.
Today, through my private coaching, retreats, Reiki trainings, intuitive mentorship, and my podcast Soul Pathways, I help visionary women and soul seekers:
• Break free from fear, perfectionism, and old patterns
• Trust themselves again after seasons of doubt or disconnection
• Step into the soul-aligned lives they are here to live
My work is not about fixing you — it’s about guiding you back home to the truest, most powerful version of yourself.
What sets me apart is how I bridge deep energetic healing with real-world transformation.
I don’t believe in cookie-cutter methods or surface-level coaching.
Every offering, every session, every container is personalized — intuitively designed to meet the soul in front of me, wherever they are on their journey.
I work at the level of energy, mindset, spirit, and practical action — because Becoming isn’t just an idea. It’s a way of living.
I’m most proud of the community that has formed around Healing with Wanderlyss — the souls who have dared to believe that something more beautiful is possible for their lives.
I’m proud of the women who have left jobs, started businesses, found love, found themselves — not because I gave them the answers, but because they remembered they had the answers all along.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
One book that had a huge impact on me early in my journey was “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer.
It taught me the importance of inner freedom — that our external success will always mirror our internal state.
That realization became a foundation for how I approach my work: healing first, strategy second.
Another resource that shaped me was “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks, which helped me see how often we unconsciously limit ourselves — and how much expansion becomes possible when we step beyond our comfort zones.
This has been huge not just in my own Becoming, but in how I guide clients through their transformations.
Philosophically, I’m deeply influenced by the idea that “your business grows at the speed of your nervous system.”
Which means — sustainable success doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from moving in alignment, building inner safety, and honoring your own soul’s timing.
This is a core principle I carry into everything I do: from my private coaching to my retreats, to my podcast conversations.
I believe that entrepreneurship, at its highest level, isn’t just about what you build — it’s about who you become while building it.
And I’m proud to walk that path in a way that’s heart-centered, grounded, and truly sustainable.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
At the heart of everything I do — whether it’s coaching, energy work, storytelling, podcasting, or retreats — the mission is the same:
To help people come home to their soul truth and build lives rooted in authenticity, freedom, and deep fulfillment.
I believe we’re living in a time when more and more people are waking up to the realization that the old ways — hustling, performing, people-pleasing, surviving — are not enough.
That success without soul isn’t true success at all.
My mission is to walk with people through their Becoming —
to help them break free from fear, perfectionism, and old conditioning,
to reconnect with their intuition and inner compass,
and to create lives, careers, and futures that actually feel good to live inside.
Ultimately, it’s not just about achieving more —
it’s about embodying more.
More truth.
More alignment.
More aliveness.
I’m here to help people remember that their dreams, their gifts, and their healing are sacred —
and that the world needs their light fully turned on, not dimmed to fit old molds.
Every program, podcast episode, retreat, and offering I create is an invitation back to that remembering.
Because at the end of the day, the real success story isn’t the brand you build.
It’s the soul you set free.
