Alyssa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I came up with the idea while I was giving up on my business overall. One day I was walking and trying to take a break from reality and that’s when it hit me. Babyamma. I’ve noticed a lot of people getting pregnant here where I lived and lots of mothers I knew have voiced their opinions to me about how items for their children are hard to afford due to the pandemic and the recession that we are in! I thought I’d great items to use and cheap prices so that it’s affordable for everyone and my journey as been a great rollercoaster since!

Babyamma sells maternity wear and baby essentials such as maternity dresses, baby clothes, toys, bags and items that assist you on a every day basis! Our biggest sellers are our bags and baby clothes bundles! Our biggest concern is making sure you’re not wasting your money, our bags are multifunctional giving you lots of space, change into a crib and come with extra bags and a changing pad to lay on! With good quality products we hope to help you and your new family welcome the mini ones home!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
You have to be yourself to find yourself! Sometimes listening to others instead of doing what your heart desires may push back the plan that was meant for you, you can do anything you put your mind too! I used to second guess myself and post pone my business ideas because others have told me it’s not a good idea or that I should wait and finish college. I create my own reality and I can accomplish it all!
Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
As a kid I used to sew and paint items and sell them, I would use my moms information to sell online because I was extremely young and that’s when I discovered this brewing talent. I found great vendors and I’ve added my magical touch to each and every item to make it a BABYAMMA product!
