Alycia , appreciate you joining us today. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?

If I could name a hero in my life it would without a doubt be my mother. She is the epitome of strength and kindness. Since I was a young child I watched my mother give all she had to her children and to each person that came into her life. She had the opportunity to pour into thousands of children’s lives in her years of owning child care centers. She has given food when she had none, money when there wasn’t anymore to replace it, countless hugs and advice. Her heart for others exceeds anything I’ve ever known. She has taught me what is most important in life, God, family, and helping others. I strive every day to be everything she taught me to be. I am so thankful for the love and support she has always given me and I will forever look up to her as my best friend and hero.

Alycia , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Alycia. I am a wife to my husband Dale and a proud mom to my son Blayne. I have owned Among the Wildflowers Charcuterie Company for two years now. When I’m not creating charcuterie and cheese masterpieces I am busy at home with my chickens and ducks, and baking in the kitchen.. My family and I love the Homestead lifestyle. Raising my own flowers and herbs is a part of what sets my business apart. I take pride in the products I use for each order and strive to use the freshest products from local sources when they are available. I recently got the chance to study to be a cheese monger in hopes to increase my knowledge and understanding for this business. All of my work is based off of my clients needs , dietary restrictions, and price range. One of the proudest moments for me this year was being named one of the top 3 finalists for Main St. Clarksville! I am proud to serve my hometown and look forward to what this year has in store.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think what has shaped my reputation first and foremost is the love I truly feel for this business and the people I get to take care of. My clients know I will do all I can to provide high-quality, quick turnaround, and treat them like more family than clients. I am constantly trying to further education and experiences to give them the best. Because that’s what they deserve!

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

My business originally started as a side hustle/hobby. I began making boards for my staff at the daycare my family owned before selling them a couple years ago. I enjoyed treating them to something special and it brought me a lot of joy. So when we sold the businesses, I began making boxes for others. Once I got my license, and was insured with my food trailer, my business really took off.
