We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alx Corzo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alx , appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I’m always taking a risk….

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m a freelance photographer who loves to shoot people in every ambient, I have special attraction to fashion events and concerts. I love to capture every single moment, candid photos results really special ones but also have the control to direct a talent it’s seductive for me. I started taking photos 25 years ago while I was studying my carrer (journalism) in my nathal country (colombia), so I started as a photojournalism, then i moved to strret and landscape photography wich I still enjoy, finally I decided to concentrate in the Fashion Industry and at the same time I was engaged for lights, music and crowd events and actually I shoot concerts as well. At this time I’m very product to offer hight quality memories for my clients full warranty includ, that means if somebody isn’t happy with my job they don’t pay a cent, but I’m very confident that would never happend.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Well, in this journey I’ve been rejected for some people who founds my job not atractive to them, even when I know the product I’m given to them is better or at least the same quality of others they accept. But I understand in this world you need to keep trying until you see your brand at the place you deserve. I’m still trying with respect for others.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to see my name on the top of the list for photographers. I know this could be relative because art is like that, but I would be happy if my name get some recognition in those industries.
