We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alvaro. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alvaro below.
Alvaro, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
At first we learned from our friend Rudy that gave us FL Studio. For the most part everything else that we’ve learned has been from YouTube tutorials and from friends that we’ve made along the way while being in the industry

Alvaro, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
So we started making music and playing shows in 2015 at this time Angel was 13 almost 14 and I was 20 so I was playing shows solo since he wasn’t of age. We have always been a hardstyle/hard dance act. We’ve gone through a few managers that have helped us get to the point where we are now. One of our biggest accomplishments was our remix of Kayzo’s “This Time” record. A majority of people that know us is because of that remix. It was released in 2017, and so many huge artists played it out. Names like Carnage, Kayzo, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Adventure Club, The Chainsmokers, Slander, Wooli, Timmy Trumpet, played it out. That’s just a handful, it helped put us on the map back then, still til this day people are barely hearing the remix which is crazy!
Another big accomplishment for me and Angel was landing a booking for EDCLV 2020, which got pushed to 2021 due to covid. But so many people told us that we would never make it that far to touch that stage, and we did. It was an amazing feeling! Also being apart of the very last Project Z back in 2022 and playing our very first Wasteland in 2023

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I think we’ve heard more “no’s” than “yes’s” just like every other up and coming producer. It sucks, but it’s just part of the process
Also being told you’ll get a certain time slot or paid “X” amount for a show and not getting that slot time/getting to play the show at all or not receiving any sort of payment is a bit defeating
Gotta keep your head up and keep working, if we let all the negativity get to us we would not be in the industry for 10 years

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
It wasn’t a drastic change with our look/brand
But we went from wearing colorful tie dye shirts, to black bleached shirts we wore for about two years. To then these Black Jean jackets that we bleached for EDCLV and started wearing in recent times starting back in the beginning of 2024
