We were lucky to catch up with Altrazo Tiller recently and have shared our conversation below.

Altrazo, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I became tired of the typical “norm” of how artists and actors should look or sound. Mybusiness partner and I decided to create a platform that’s all inclusive for other artists who are looking to display their talent without having to conform to superficial, societal rules. Tillervision Productions LLC became that vehicle for actors, artists, and musicians to simply express their respective disciplines without having to compromise their true selves.

Altrazo, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Tillervision Productions LLC was birthed in 2012. We originally began as a company that wrote and produced stageplays. Since then we’ve branched out into an umbrella company that has published a novel, and we’ve written, recorded, and produced several albums and singles for our signed artists. Our recording artists include neo soul / jazz / gospel artist Tomeka Tiller (who is also the CFO of Tillervision Productions LLC), singer, songwriter, musician and producer Traz Tiller (who is CEO of Tillervision Productions LLC), and spoken word artist P3AC3. We basically operate by the motto; “See a need, fill a need, but always be uniquely yourself”.
Some of the accomplishments that we are most proud of is the fact that through authenticity and a deeply rooted faith in God, we have met and maintained with a who’s who of local and national artists (both actors and musicians alike). We never lose touch with who we are, and we remember from where our blessings came. God continues to elevate us throughout the years despite setbacks and curveballs. What’s intended will certainly be.

When attending any of our stage productions one can expect it to be original, and we continue to push the envelope. There is a message in every single thing that we produce. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

My business partner and I have truly endured many storms to make Tillervision Productions LLC happen. We have been through hunger, homelessness, bankruptcy, losing close family members, and several other uncomfortable situations. It was our faith in God that allowed us to persevere. We are still standing after 11 years in the game.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

There really isn’t any magic to funding our various ventures. We simply elected to go without certain things in order to save the capital needed for whatever project we’ve had coming down the pipeline. My partner and I both work full time jobs. That’s it. No magic. Just hard work and discipline. LOL!!
