Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alta H Haffner (Mabin). We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alta H, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Although I have published many ebooks and paperbacks of my own over the years, the most rewarding part of what I do is seeing the excitement when someone I helped gets to hold a book with their name on it. The magazines – The dream started at the start of Covid, It was during an interview with a Podcast in India when she asked me “What is it that you still dream to do?” and I simply replied “I want to publish a monthly magazine and give writers from around the world a platform to share their words with the world”, Currently working on the 36th Issue, a little over a year ago I launched Haiku for your soul magazine – My first love will always be Haiku and I wanted to share the form of all Japanese poetry forms” and finally 4 months ago Accepting Grief Magazine was launched, and although extremely emotional to edit and publish this publication, it is a necessary one, as so many need to hear stories from others sharing their pain through words.
These magazines are my labor of love, I promote new books and showcase local and international artists and poets. I have a phrase that I use almost daily “Show up for your dreams”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

She started this beautiful journey over a decade ago, What started as a beautiful stress-reliever and hobby, turned into a full-time poetically blessed dream life.
She enjoys helping many writers achieve their dream of getting their aesthetically appealing designed books published on various platforms and reaching the number one spot on Amazon. She is the host of two podcasts, one for interviewing authors from all around the globe and the other for showcasing the best of her poetry collections. From quiet morning coffee to moonlit skies, she “Shows up for this dream” to pursue the depth of thought through writing, publishing, creating, and designing books, and above all draws invigorating inspiration from the South African sunrise.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
A few years ago I hardly used any social media and looking back today, I am so grateful for the writer’s community, especially on Instagram. For me I don’t concentrate on the follows or likes but rather on the meaningful connection and offering to help where I can with their publishing journey.
I promote many on my pages and it gives me joy.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I believe anyone that reads our work, should always remember that we as writers spend endless hours putting a book together and we love their feedback, even if it’s constructive criticism.
