We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alondra Berrocales a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alondra, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I wanna say becoming a Missionary has been one of my most meaningful projects as I have to mentally and physically prepare myself to go out to travel the world to help and love others. As I got ready for my most recent Mission Trip To Africa I found myself getting pruned from my old selfish ways. My heart became softer and softer as I got educated on where and what we were expected to do once we arrived to Tanzania, Africa. During this time I had to work on my character, self-discipline, physical strength, mental health, photography skills, speaker skills, leadership skills and most importantly my knowledge behind the word of God. We got to serve over 200,000 thousand people in just a matter of 4 days during a healing festival. I got to work with children by reading to them, playing with them, handing out food and toys and so many other rewarding experiences. In the mist of all of this I got an amazing opportunity as a main photographer/content creator. Because of this opportunity I was able to take footage that will last a life time. Not to mention I had the privilege to put on a harness and climb the stage to get footage for SOS Adventure’s website! All that to say that opportunity re-sparked a fire in me to pursue content creating/social media. Which has now brought me so many open doors in the past 5 months since I got back from Africa in June. I have now collaborated (paid and unpaid) with over 15 brands and continue to reach out as time goes! I myself am a project and the least I can do is follow what my hearts desires are in Gods will!
