We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Almond Brewer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Almond below.
Almond, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
#LeagueB Learning Everything • Accepting Greatness • Uniting Everyone to Build.
As a young kid growing up in the inland empire I lived in a few different areas. Each time I had to adapt and make new friends, meet new people. As I got older connecting people and bringing people together for a great cause became something I gravitated to. I feel we are all called for greatness and we just need to accept it, and that where our motto and brand name originated.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Officially launching in January 2019 Learning Everything • Accepting Greatness • Uniting Everyone to Build. We consider ourselves at League B an “Inspirational Fashion Brand” Our message to the world is what sets us apart. To know our message and really understand what League B means makes you want to really go out and do it! It started as just a saying/slogan between myself and a few friends back in 2010. As we had our gym sessions with Professional Skills Trainer Clifton Baker, sometimes it would just be us and childhood friend Bennett Shaw, who is now a shoe creator for Nike. As motivation, but also more humor we would say, let’s be “League Bound”. Mind you some of our friends were doctors, lawyers, trainers, barbers, law enforcement and yes some basketball players to. So it was never really about basketball, more so about reaching the highest potential YOU could reach for whatever dreams and admirations you had. It was really just a everyday lifestyle for us that we enjoyed doing Learning Everything, Accepting Greatness, Uniting Everyone to Build.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
When League B started all funding was out of my own packet. My mindset was to just be able to get my business/brand off the ground and running. After our first year of grinding and building we were presented an opportunity of a life time.
We were the first round grantee of NBA Milwaukee Bucks Guard Jrue Holiday, and the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Social impact fund called the JLH foundation. Giving black owned business a chance at generational wealth by the grant. We were then in position to expand our business in a major way.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Here at League B we try and make our brand as personable as possible by engaging with our audience and consumers. We engage a lot on social media in order to build of brand.
