We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ally & Julie Dell’Amico & Vasquez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ally & Julie below.
Ally & Julie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Here at Saule Yoga, we strive to create a space where people come together through mindful movement to promote vibrancy, balance and harmony at the same time as establishing a sense of community and synergy where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
We practice yoga as individuals, each of us coming from a different background and starting point, but we support each other, creating an inner strength and peaceful energy that radiates through our bodies and community each and every day.
We offer a variety of classes including vinyasas flows, power flows and yin/restorative styles. Specialty classes on our schedule include children’s yoga, yoga nidra, sound healing and wall yoga (one of the few studios in Arizona who offers a wall class).
With every business there are ebbs and flows of challenges. Learning to embrace the challenge while approaching the struggles with faith, humility and dedication are essential in overcoming and continuing to create a beautiful community for our students.
Ally & Julie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Julie has been practicing Yoga for 15 years and is YogaFit trained as well as 200hr RYT certified through Arizona Yoga Academy/Yoga Alliance. Through the years, she has co-hosted Yoga and Living Foods Wellness Retreats. She is a Holistic Nutrition Specialist with a focus on empowering both children and adults to eat whole, organic foods and practice mindful exercise to lead an energetic, vibrant life. Julie completed the 200-hour Holistic Nutrition Program at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. She has been a preschool teacher at Desert Sun for 17 years and loves working with both adults and young children. She began her education studying Child Development at The University of Arizona and Mesa Community College.
Ally truly fell in love with yoga during her days as a collegiate athlete. Yoga provided an outlet to let go of competing and balance out the high-intensity training she was so accustomed to. With a passion for serving and teaching others, Ally knew she wanted to become a yoga instructor. After practicing on her own for over 7 years, she finally found herself in a place where she could complete her Teacher Training. Ally received her RYT 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Alliance certifications through Arizona Yoga Academy.
We’d love to hear about how’d you met your business partner.
Ally and Julie have been long-time family friends. Ally grew up with Julie’s daughter and their families have been inseparable since 2002! They share similar interests in health, wellness and yoga so when the opportunity to open a yoga studio came about, they were both very excited to join forces.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being a small business we rely heavily on word-of-mouth marketing. We strive to have an inclusive environment for all and work to make the experience for our students meaningful. We hope in turn they share their positive experience with others. It is encouraging to see our clientele grow. We love hearing great feedback and receiving many referrals from our loyal members.
