Allison, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I want to start by saying that I think success can look different for everyone depending on individual situations and life circumstances. Regardless of what success may look like, I believe the number one thing it takes to be successful is hard work. I was taught about work ethic from early on in my life when I started to play hockey at the age of 7. Through high school and then as a college athlete, the one factor of every successful game, championship and goal reached, was hard work. I now take that work ethic into my career path as a content creator.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a content creator on social media where I create fun, educational and informational cat and kitten content on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. The stars of the show are my three cats: Willa, Nala and Bella. I started my content creation journey after my cats helped me heal through a difficult time in my life when I struggled with anxiety. I started to record their funny, crazy and loving personalities and wanted to share the joy they bring to my life with as many people as possible.
I am most proud of how much our TikTok account has grown in just over one year. We now have over 70k followers! I am also proud of the brand partnerships that we have done so far including collaborations with PetSafe, Cat Genie, BISSELL Vacuums, Bona, The Honest Kitchen and more! I love to share our favorite products and brands with our audience and my goal is to continue to partner with even more businesses and build lasting relationships.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creator for me is when I connect with my followers or fellow content creators who recognize my work. I love to connect with animal lovers on social media and form an online friendship. It is amazing when you start to build that loyal following of people who show up everyday to support your channel. My goal is to continue to make lasting connections with my followers, as well as other content creators and brands.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media by consistently posting fun, real life and relatable content. My cats make me laugh everyday and bring so much joy to my life and I want to share that with others. It isn’t always about posting perfect content, but instead viewers like to see things they can relate to. In order to grow and continue to grow on social media, I am constantly paying attention to what my audience responds to and what they want and like to see. It is important to take note of your followers and what they like in order to grow. Social media platforms are always changing their own strategy and algorithms too, so it is important to research current trends and learn from others.
