We were lucky to catch up with Allison Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Allison, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I think when it comes to your legacy, it starts first within your own family. We are building this business of ours not only as a means to provide for our family in the present time, but for our kids to have something they can be proud of knowing they have played a major role in growing. Something they can hopefully pass down through the generations.
I hope that when we are no longer, people will remember us for our passion for our pollinating friends, our love for our community , and our family. I like to think that with very interaction in a classroom, or with every interaction with someone in our community that called us to relocate bees for them or even someone that just wanted to chat , we will have left an experience in their mind that will make them smile when they think about it.
I hope that in our community and within our family, people will know how hard we worked to build this dream of ours, and will have always felt welcomed and know they were all a part of this crazy adventure!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those of you who might be learning of us for the first time, my name is Allison. Myself and my husband Matt created our little business called Noble Nectar Apiaries. This has become a true family business, our kids, parents, and even family friends have all played such a big role in building our honeybee business. With that being said…. here is how it all began.
Noble Nectar Apiaries came to life back in 2016. However we got our first colony in 2015, kind of by accident really! We both worked for a local theatre company building and painting sets. The shop we worked out of ended up with a colony of bees in the wall, in which maintenance was going to exterminate! This led Matt to doing some research and with some convincing they agreed to let us get them out alive! Well it was a success and we haven’t looked back! Beekeeping and bee rescue has become our life’s work. While Matt was doing most of the removals on his own in the beginning, I joined full time in 2018, assisting with removals and continuing education for children, along with the running the social media,as well as all of the admin side of things. Documenting all of our experiences through the lens of my camera and or even just through the videos I create has become a whole other outlet!
Noble Nectar Apiaries is dedicated to saving bees, and educating others about the importance of bees! Noble Nectar also only use all natural products in the care of our bees, living by the philosophy, If it’s not safe for us we don’t use it on our bees!!! We are so very grateful to everyone that supports not only us but our mission! We hope that every ineraction with us will be an experience. We also thank everyone for joining us on this journey! What a whirlwind it has all been! We love what we do and will continue sharing along the way!

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We try to create actual relationships with our clients our what we like to call our bee family. Let me just say we have some of the very best clients out there! We have become friends with many of the people we have met along the way. Many of our clients will text us directly or follow our social media to stay up to date with everything we are up to. As I mentioned previously, we hope that everyone that follows our journey or purchases product from us know that we truly do care about not only our bees but the people in our community as well!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
What can you say about social media!? Well at times I have a love hate relationship with the world of social media, we don’t have a ridiculous amount of followers, and being consistent is where our growth has come from. However I will say this, while we have many messages about how much people love our content and what we are doing for the bees, by no means are we viral status! One thing that has always been important to us is to remain authentic, I have never been a trend follower so what you see on our social media is the real deal! Trending isn’t as important to us as the work we do with the bees, we do however make sure to keep everyone in the loop with regular posts an updates! I will say this, trends will always fade, but being authentic to yourself will always bring the most genuine rewards!
