We recently connected with Allie Griffin and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Allie, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
This past November, I published my first cookbook, filled with some of my favorite easy recipes that I’ve been cooking for my family for years. These dishes have become staples in our home, and there’s even a chapter dedicated to my family traditions. When I was a full-time working mom, these recipes helped me do exactly what I hope to inspire in others—making it easier to cook and spend meaningful time around the dinner table, even on the busiest days. This book represents everything I strive for, and it’s incredibly humbling to see something so personal and meaningful bringing other families together

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Allie Griffin of Allie’s Kitchen Table, and I am proud to call Texas my home! After years in the fast-paced restaurant industry, I knew my heart belonged in my own kitchen, creating meals that bring families together. My inspiration? It’s simple—my family. Sometimes finding time to sit down for a meal can feel impossible, but I believe those moments around the dinner table are where some of life’s best memories happen. It’s where we can finally slow down, share stories, and just be together. Through my Instagram, TikTok, newly published cookbook, and recipe website, I share simple recipes designed for busy people, encouraging them to cook and create those same meaningful moments with their own families.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I decided to start Allie’s Kitchen Table, I started from scratch, all brand new social channels. I grew those social channels by building genuine connections with my audience. I focused on addressing the everyday struggles of cooking dinner, offering practical solutions to make mealtime easier so families can spend more time together. Growing a following takes time, but the followers who truly matter are the ones who resonate with your message. The key is to stay true to yourself and your values.
If you’re looking to grow your social media presence, my biggest advice is to stay consistent and keep posting. Social platforms are always evolving, and changes to algorithms can cause engagement and views to rise and fall—it’s completely normal. Keep going!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Content creators need to have a thick skin and a resilient spirit. Commenters can be harsh, especially when it comes to cooking, because everyone has their own preferences and methods in the kitchen. It can be discouraging to see negative feedback about something you’ve poured your passion into. But you have to stay focused, keep your head up, and let those comments roll off, even when it’s tough.
I remember cooking Giada De Laurentiis’s Chicken Piccata, following her recipe to the letter. When I posted the reel, Giada herself commented and complimented it—which was such an incredible moment! But then someone chimed in, saying they “felt sorry for my husband for having to eat my cooking.” Even though I knew the dish was amazing (validated by Giada and my husband, who loved it), that one comment still stung. It was a reminder of how important resilience is in this field. You have to focus on the wins and let the negativity go.
