We were lucky to catch up with Alli Robben recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alli, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe “never giving up” is the answer to being successful. You have to be willing to try and try again when things don’t work out. Maybe you try the same thing but take a different approach when you fail or maybe you try something completely different. No matter what failure you experience, you have to get up and keep trying.


Alli, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Alli Robben and I am a business owner and personal stylist. Growing up I always knew there was some kind of feeling I experienced when I loved what I was wearing. It was like I had 10 extra levels of confidence and I could do anything I put my mind to.
As I grew up, I realized I had a passion for helping people find that same feeling. I wanted everyone to walk with this level of confidence, and I wanted their style to push them forward, not hold them back.
I started styling clients at Nordstrom in 2015, and have been addicted ever since. I wanted to take what I learned there and make it ever more personalized. I wanted to be able to go to people’s homes and help style them where they felt most comfortable. That’s why I started A Style Breeze, a personal styling company.
We offer closet clean outs, personal shopping, personal styling, event styling, lookbooks, and virtual styling services.
We have experience working with ALL people! No matter your gender, age, size or body shape, we are eager to create a safe space and help you feel like the most confident version of yourself.



Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Before covid, we did most of our shopping appointments in person. During covid, a lot of stores shut down, inventory was low and we were forced to shop online for our clients. Now that things are back to normal and shopping in person has improved, we are still choosing to shop online over in person.
Online shopping gives us access to every store in the world, as opposed to the select few at our local mall. We also can help our clients find the perfect item for them, as opposed to what is only available in stores. This process has been super convenient for our clients as well since they can order from their bed at 11pm at night as opposed to squeezing in another appointment in their busy schedules.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Google has been the best source of new clients for us! Since we started our business, we have asked every client we have worked with to leave us a review and it has paid off. We have the most Google reviews in our city for our industry and it has helped us rank higher for Google searches.
Second to Google is 100% word of mouth. I’ve noticed that when people find us on Google they may sit and think about it for a few months before reaching out, where the word of mouth clients trust us immediately and want to work together right away.
