Alli, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I manage my own social media! As someone in a creative field that relies very heavily on social media for advertising, it’s hard to fully give someone else control of your business in that way. This definitely isn’t the case for everyone, but I find it easier to just do it myself than try to communicate with someone else what I want to put out there for clients/potential clients to see. I have a marketing degree, so its super fun for me to do research on what’s trending & what people want to see from creatives in my field! I’ve had lot’s of success with it so far. It’s very time consuming, but luckily I have the time to do so! If you don’t have time to do all the research & management of your own social media, I can definitely see how it would be worth budgeting to have someone else do it for you. It’s a lot of work!

My name is Alli Moss and I own Alli M. Photos! I’m based in central Kentucky, but I love to travel! I do a little bit of everything, but I specialize in weddings, couples and seniors! I got into photography during Covid. I was in my first year of college at the University of Kentucky and I needed a hobby to get my mind off the state of things. I picked up a camera and haven’t put it down since! I would take my friends out to the local arboretum and make them pose for me. It was a win-win because they got cute pictures and I got lots of practice! I’m most proud of the growth in the reason I do what I do. It’s always been because I love taking pretty pictures, but it quickly grew into the love of creating art from human connection. My goal is always to capture the love, warmth and pure joy between loved ones. The ability to freeze nostalgia in time is something that has always fascinated me- forming itself into my most prized passion. Time will always pass, the world will always keep spinning, and moments that turn into memories can never be replicated. I’m here to give you the gift of eternal access to those moments- those irreplaceable feelings in tangible art form.
