We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Allann Arnold And Victoria Payne. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Allann Arnold and Victoria Payne below.
Allann Arnold and Victoria Payne, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
At Sloan Hollace Hill Country Interiors, our mission is to craft thoughtful, character-filled spaces that reflect the heart of the people who live in them while honoring the beauty of the Hill Country. For us, this mission isn’t just about creating beautiful homes—it’s about fostering deeper connections between people and the spaces they inhabit.
This mission stems from our personal journeys and complementary design perspectives. As co-owners, Allann brings her deep roots as a Texas native, infusing our designs with warmth, authenticity, and a respect for Hill Country traditions. Victoria, originally from San Diego, adds a streamlined California-cool sensibility to our work, blending a coastal ease and modernity that elevates every project. Together, we create spaces that are both grounded in regional character and effortlessly timeless.
What makes this mission so meaningful to us is the privilege of connecting with our clients on a personal level. It’s incredibly rewarding to see their vision come to life and know that we’ve created something truly unique for them. Whether it’s a cozy guest sanctuary or a full home remodel, we infuse every design with a sense of personality, warmth, and purpose, ensuring the result is as functional as it is beautiful.
We also draw inspiration from the rich history and natural beauty of the Hill Country, incorporating textures, colors, and elements that feel rooted yet modern. This approach reflects not only our respect for the region but our belief that every space should feel connected to something meaningful.
Ultimately, our mission is about more than design—it’s about creating spaces where families can celebrate milestones, gather with loved ones, and make lasting memories. Through thoughtful collaboration, local partnerships, and our commitment to high-quality design, we aim to transform homes into places that truly feel like home.
Allann Arnold and Victoria Payne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At Sloan Hollace Hill Country Interiors, we specialize in creating thoughtfully designed spaces that bring beauty, character, and functionality to life. As co-owners, we, Allann Arnold and Victoria Payne, bring complementary perspectives and unique experiences to the table.
We come from different backgrounds that inform and enrich our work. Allann, a Texas native, spent the first half of her career in fashion as a wardrobe stylist, working on film sets and photoshoots for country music artists. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for storytelling through aesthetics, which seamlessly transitioned into interior design. Victoria, originally from San Diego, grew up surrounded by California’s coastal ease and brings a clean, streamlined sensibility to our designs, blending it beautifully with the warmth and rich textures of Hill Country style. Together, we create spaces that feel simultaneously grounded and elevated, reflecting both our clients’ needs and the timeless beauty of the region.
We offer full-service interior design for remodels, new builds, and soft-finish interior décor projects. Whether it’s selecting architectural finishes, sourcing custom furnishings, or styling with thoughtful details, we handle every aspect of the process to ensure a cohesive and personalized result. Our mission is to solve the challenge of creating spaces that are not only visually stunning but also practical, meaningful, and reflective of our clients’ unique lifestyles.
What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We take the time to truly understand our clients—their vision, lifestyle, and priorities. This allows us to design spaces that feel authentically theirs while incorporating the character and charm that define our work. We also emphasize local partnerships, sourcing unique materials like antique oak beams, custom moldings, and artisan-crafted pieces to add depth and history to our designs.
One of the things we’re most proud of is the trust and connection we build with our clients. We’ve had the honor of completing over 160 projects in the greater Austin area, each one a reflection of collaboration, creativity, and craftsmanship. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that the spaces we create become the backdrop for families to celebrate, grow, and make memories.
When you work with us, you’re not just hiring designers—you’re gaining partners who care deeply about your vision and experience. Our work is thoughtful, thorough, and filled with personality. We believe in creating spaces with intention, where every detail—from the layout to the materials to the styling—serves a purpose.
Whether it’s a full home remodel or styling a guest sanctuary, we pour our hearts into every project, blending our love for design with a commitment to quality and a passion for making homes truly feel like home.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for us has been, without a doubt, word of mouth. In our community, loyalty runs deep, and people take pride in recommending services they trust and love. When someone experiences the thoughtful design process and personalized attention we provide at Sloan Hollace Hill Country Interiors, they often become our biggest advocates.
It’s incredibly rewarding to see our clients enthusiastically share their homes with friends, family, and neighbors, and we’re grateful for the tight-knit, supportive community we work in. Every referral feels like a testament to the connections we build and the impact our work has on the lives of those we serve.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience has been at the heart of our story. Over the past four years, we’ve rebranded not once, but twice, each time evolving closer to the vision we have for our business. We started as Arnold Family Builders, a general contracting and design-build firm founded by me (Allann) and my husband. After two years of balancing construction and design, I realized my passion leaned heavily toward interior design. This led to the creation of Hollace Homes, where I worked independently with assistants, focusing exclusively on interior design.
Running Hollace Homes on my own was rewarding but also challenging—I juggled everything as the sole owner while managing a growing demand for high-quality design services. It was during this phase that I began to dream of a more collaborative future.
Last year, that dream became a reality when Victoria joined me as a co-owner, bringing her incredible design expertise and a fresh perspective to our work. Together, we rebranded once more to become Sloan Hollace, a name that reflects both of us and the elevated approach we now offer our clients.
Rebranding is never easy. Each transition required resilience to face the challenges of redefining our identity, maintaining client trust, and scaling our business. But every step has been worth it—we’ve grown stronger, more focused, and more aligned with our mission to create thoughtful, character-filled spaces for our clients.
Through it all, resilience has kept us moving forward, and we’re so proud of the work we’ve built as Sloan Hollace Hill Country Interiors .
