Alisa, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I’ve always been 100% committed to a healthy lifestyle, but one challenge kept nagging at me—I wanted to enjoy something sweet without the guilt or negative health effects. I know from personal experience how frustrating it is not to have the option to eat something truly healthy without harming your body. Most brands today are focused on long shelf life rather than the health of their consumers, packing products with preservatives, artificial ingredients, and hidden sugars. I knew there had to be a better way.
One day, I came across carob and was intrigued. Unlike cocoa, it’s naturally sweet and doesn’t require added sugar. That was my lightbulb moment. Could I create a chocolate-like treat that was completely free of sugar and sugar substitutes, yet still delicious?
I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about making chocolate from carob. It wasn’t easy—without sugar or sweeteners, getting the right texture and flavor took a lot of trial and error. I spent nearly a year experimenting with different ingredient combinations, refining my process, and making sure every bite felt indulgent yet remained 100% clean.
What excited me most about this idea was that it wasn’t just about personal satisfaction—it was about solving a real problem. So many people are forced to give up sweets entirely due to health concerns, and I wanted to change that. My carob chocolate isn’t just an alternative—it’s a way for people to enjoy a truly guilt-free treat that aligns with their lifestyle and well-being.

I’ve always been passionate about health and nutrition, but like so many others, I struggled to find sweet treats that didn’t come with a side of guilt. I know firsthand what it’s like to crave something delicious but feel like there’s nothing truly healthy out there. So many brands focus on long shelf life instead of real nutrition, loading their products with hidden sugars, artificial ingredients, and preservatives. I wanted something different—something I could enjoy without compromising my well-being. That’s how my journey with carob chocolate began.
I first came across carob when I was looking for a natural, healthier alternative to chocolate. I was fascinated by its natural sweetness, rich flavor, and the fact that it doesn’t contain caffeine or theobromine like cocoa—making it a great option for those who are sensitive to stimulants. But the real challenge? Making chocolate from carob without any sugar or sugar substitutes. I spent nearly a year experimenting, tweaking recipes, and finding the perfect balance of flavors and textures. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to create something truly special. And of course, it had to be 100% vegan—because I believe in food that’s kind to both people and the planet.
What makes me most proud is knowing that I’m offering people a way to enjoy sweets without worrying about their health. Whether you’re managing insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes, or just trying to cut back on sugar, you shouldn’t have to feel left out. Everyone deserves to indulge in something delicious without compromise.
At the heart of my brand is a simple belief: food should nourish, not harm. It should be made with care, using real, wholesome ingredients, and it should bring joy. That’s why I do this—not just to create chocolate, but to share something that makes people feel good inside and out.


Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
A simple yet powerful strategy: always prioritize quality and customer experience. I believe that using only the best ingredients and maintaining the highest standards in production builds trust and keeps people coming back. But just as important is providing exceptional service—being transparent, listening to customers, and making sure they feel valued. When people know they can rely on you for both quality and care, word spreads naturally, and a loyal community forms around your brand.


What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients has been a mix of strategic outreach and organic growth. Markets and the right target audience play a big role, but nothing beats the power of word-of-mouth and customer reviews. When people love the product and genuinely believe in it, they naturally share it with others. Happy customers become the best ambassadors, and their recommendations bring in like-minded people who value quality and health just as much.
