We were lucky to catch up with ALINA ROGERS recently and have shared our conversation below.

ALINA, appreciate you joining us today. Along with taking care of clients, taking care of our team is one of the most important things we can do as leaders. Looking back on your journey, did you have a boss that was really great? Maybe you can tell us about that boss and what made them a wonderful person to work for?

The best “boss” was Gary Steuernagel. When I was new to real estate, I was searching for a brokerage to hold my real estate license and I met Gary. Gary had his own brokerage based out of Missouri City, Texas. He was a special kind of boss, who took the time to walk me through step by step and taught me the ins and outs of being a great Realtor. For over 12 years now he is my friend, mentor and I like to call him my “real estate dad”

ALINA, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

As Broker/Owner of Sparrow Realty, I am wholeheartedly committed to serving my clients with integrity, professionalism, and reliability. I have over 17 years of Real Estate experience. The foundation of my business is represented best through this verse in the Bible: (Colossians 3:23-23) “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

I made the decision to start Sparrow Realty during an extremely challenging time. My mother was battling breast cancer, when I made the decision. I watched as the cancer slowly consumed my mom, but during this time my mom gave me the courage to go for it, and I wanted to make her proud. One month after Sparrow Realty was started my mother passed away. God is the only thing that kept me strong and together, and everyday I commit to glorify him in all I do.

Sparrow Realty was established in 2018. We began with two wonderful agents, who had just got their real estate licenses. These two agents believed in me and gave me the confidence to market ourselves more and be more visible in the community. We now have eleven Realtors with our brokerage. God has blessed us with great people that have a passion for God, helping people, and real estate.

Our mission is to glorify God one transaction at a time. The name Sparrow Realty came Matthew 10:31 “So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Much of our business is through past clients, referrals, word of mouth in the community or social media.
