We were lucky to catch up with Alienz Incorporated recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi ALIENZ, thanks for joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
Alienz Incorporated started as an evolution of the persona that emerged from our own explorations of self-expression. We began to weave our individual artistic inclinations into our clothing, makeup and social appearances in ways that disrupted societal norms, while simultaneously fascinating others and empowering ourselves. This social experiment resulted in our personae becoming notorious in the artistic circles of New York, which drew us into the world of fashion, performance-art, drag and costuming.
Building on our concept, our artistry morphed and slowly turned into a collective. It started off with two friends who came together to forge something greater than themselves, and expanded by collaborating with other creatives.
We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears; endless hours, days, months, and years into our craft for no monetary exchange. It was evident that the costumes and concepts we were creating had to leave our apartments and venture into New York City nightlife and underground fashion shows because we truly believed in Alienz.

ALIENZ, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Obsessed with excess and flamboyance, we pushed the boundaries of art by utilizing ornate design that embraces the future, our pasts and the current cultural world. Our immersion into the artistic universe of the NYC theatrical club scene and fashion sphere occurred at an electrifying pace. We appeared at numerous events and became the backbone to many design, set and style teams of some of the most significant venues and productions happening in New York.
In merging our skills and experience over the years we now incorporate many forms of art into our work, which span multiple mediums; such as visual art, creative writing, video, film, tech, costuming, cosplay, performance-art, set design, decor, sculpting, and ultimately immersive installation. From conceptualizing to designing we help execute and bring any vision to life, whether it’s our own or a client’s.
What sets us apart from others is our ability to create abstract, other-worldly ideas and designs that are colorful, unique and powerful. We’re most proud of our story, our perseverance, what we’ve created and the ever growing process.
Constantly garnering different perspectives that challenge and inspire us to go beyond our norm, we hope to incite others to escape their elements and nourish their alter egos.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For the love of art and for the freedom to choose your passions in life. Instead of settling for a career that becomes a means to an end, you take a risk that allows you to carve your own path. One that is fulfilling, ever growing and changes with you.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Art and creating is an essential part of being human and our history as a species. It is a calling that drives us to leave our mark in a significant and positive manner. Inspiring others that come after us, like we were inspired by artists that came before us.
